Why is he still watching this shit?

I am in rehab. I'm paired with a room mate who watches hard core porn on his lap top. He does it on the sly but I've caught a few glances of his screen when he didn't think I could see. Porn is a trigger to use for me and I've told him so. Must be the same for him but he is in total denial of this. I've reported him in order to protect my own sobriety. He doesn't know it but tomorrow they are coming to take his laptop away. He'll hate me for this but I really don't give a fuck. I didn't come here to be his buddy. Am I being normal here? Those of you who are or have been in recovery, what do you think?

Gotta look out for #1 in some situations, and I think this is one of them.

Hay que mirar hacia fuera para # 1 en algunas situaciones , y creo que este es uno de ellos .

Ahoy! Me bathtub overflowed when me was sailin' me mighty boat around in it last night, it did. Me blow up doll, 42 years me junior, deflated and me had to pray to Gawd, I did. Me trusty blow up doll is workin' like a scurvy dog now! I'm gonna spend me time on IIN fightin' with wee lads livin' ashore in their basements like me, I am!

you are in "porn" rehab???!! thats a new one. well if you have to do it you have to do it. i don't exactly understand how you can be "addicted" to porn though. i hope you aren't at some sort of puritanical camp with a conservative ideology, that would just be a waste of time.

  • Hey bucho's, fuck you. The whole purpose of rehab is to LEARN coping skills to deal with triggers such as porn, whores, and other people, places and THINGS. Having a laptop and a TV are common in rehabs these days. And SEX is a real addiction. Been there and done that, moron.

What rehab are you in where they allow you to have a laptop in your bedroom? Most rehabs don't even allow cell phones or tv. And while we're on the subject, fuck rehab. It doesn't work in the slightest. So you can't handle this guy watching porn on his laptop? What are you going to do when they let you out of that god forsaken place and you have to deal with the big bad world? You'll start using again. Learn to cope in the real world.

I would've done the same you've done. Don't regret it.

Porn is a real addiction numb skull. Thousands of men (and women) are treated for it every day. Do some research before you spout off about something you know nothing about. For many recovering addicts watching porn can trigger drug and/or alcohol use. One addiction simply feeds the other. Unfortunately, Steve, we are all not a perfect human being like you.

Well said. Steve2's posts are some of the most ignorant and outrageous on here. He's a pseudo intellectual.
