Why is he looking at me?

So there's this guy in at my school that ALOT of girls in my town like. I don't want to like him, I was never really into the really popular guys, but there's just something there. I guess it's what every other girl sees but I don't know. Anyway, I never thought a guy like that would like me anyway, because at my school, I'm considered more of the kinna weird girl, and some people even think I'm arrogant... (dont know why... ) anyway, i catch him looking at me alot. Like whenever Im talking to my teacher at his desk and I look behind me he's always looking at me. Its weird cause I dont know what it means. I always thought that was a sign someone likes you but sometimes I think maybe he's just looking at me b.c he's thinking about how weird I am or something. He's tried making conversation with me before, a couple times, but nothing more than that. So, help? is it normal for someone like him to be doing that? And what should I do?

    Next time he strikes up a conversation you could say: "I've noticed you often look at me. Is there something you'd like to tell me?" See how honest he can be about his behaviour.

    He observes you out of love, or he watches you because he thinks you're weird.

    It depends how he looks at you with a smiley or with a weird look on his face if its a smile than he likes you :)

    Guys are strange when it comes to feelings. I'm sure he likes you. He sees you as different, the more unattainable girl. You see, popular girls are waaaaay too easy, and the "weird" girl is seen as more mysterious, and more of a challenge. He desires you more than those preppy shallow girls, obviously. If you don't like him back, tell him straight up.
