1. Lesbianism is aggressively promoted by media. Almost every show has lesbian couples or scenes in it. You rarely see gay male couples. And if you see them, they never get intimate,while lesbians always indulge in some form of sexual activity, showing the very definition of lesbianism, as opposed to gay males, who are just described as gay without showing any kind of evidence.

2. Stupid clueless straight men find it hot, therefor they encourage it.

3. Girls are growing up being taught by media that only feminine beauty is sexually appealing, seeing women half naked or completely naked, female beauty being in most cases the only form of beauty promoted by media.

4. Throughout time, media ignored female needs, concentrating only on catering to male viewers pleasure and expectations, making male beauty being ignored. In the end, causing the loss of appreciation for masculine beauty and physical values by almost everyone, regardless of gender.

5. Feminism perpetuating the "single" lifestyle for women, describing any sort of involvement of commitment by women to a man as an impediment for their success or career aspirations.

And for all those people who claim that society being more open to homosexuality led to this, you need to stop being hypocrites and just acknowledge the fact that there is are a lot of other aspects and factors that caused this change. Like media influence and trends. Otherwise it is YOU who are being close minded. Repeating the same thing over and over again. "born that way, born that way, born that way". I mean, how stubborn and rigid can you people be?
It's quite evident that there's an unbalance already, meaning there are too few straight women for the population of straight men, which causes unbalance.
Homosexuality is described as normal. But, is unbalance normal? Just fucking think about it before mumbling the same stupid senseless arguments again and again.

I remember reading a statistic stating there were more homosexual men than homosexual females, and I have definitely seen an increase of homosexual men or bisexual men than the reverse.

It is a bit weird. If you consider the societal aspects of it and took away the negativity of male homosexuality, then I think even more men would either come out or experiment more.
Female homosexuality/bisexuality is a popular thing, infact a lot of the time it is encouraged and considered "hot" (I personally don't find it attractive), where as male homosexuality/bisexuality is looked down upon.

So even considering that societal pressures and how females do not have to worry as much about certain aspects men do when it comes to homosexuality which will result in it being easier for women to experiment or come out than it is for men.

So, considering more men are homosexual than women, plus the societal aspects that hold men back from either coming out or experimenting compared to women, I would definitely say homosexual men will always have more in quantity than homosexual women.

When I first read the title, I thought this was gonna explain how they shouldn't let lesbians have sex because they might over-populate the planet.

It's extremely foolish to think that the only reason women become lesbian is because they've been hurt by men at some point.

As society has become more accepting, lesbians have felt more safe coming out. The number of lesbians is probably very nearly the exact same as it has been throughout human history, it's just more socially accepted these days, so you actually hear about / see them more often.

Women being "much nastier" to men these days is just hogwash. Women are perhaps a bit more empowered and outspoken, and the backlash you're receiving that leads to you assuming they're nastier likely just comes from the fact everything you've written in this post reeks of misogyny, which tends to piss women, and forward-thinking men, off. There's probably a correlation between how you see women and how they treat you that's worth looking into.

From the perspective of a woman, you sound like you would make a dangerous, controlling, and verbally or emotionally abusive husband. Pretty much the opposite of a "good man".

I don't believe that more women are becoming lesbians because of a bad relationship. If I ended up in a bad relationship that wouldn't suddenly make me like women. I'd either not date at all or find a better man. Anyway, I don't think that the rate of homosexuality in women is rising I think that, in this day and age, it's becoming more acceptable for them to come out so a lot of women don't feel like they need to hide in the closet anymore as oppose to the way a lesbian my feel 50 years ago. It's a new day and age. Personally, I like that they can come out and not be ashamed of themselves. I think that people should be accepted for who they are. Men as well. Although they are not as accepted as women when coming out, but a lot more of them aren't afraid to admit they're homosexual as they would've been 50 years ago. I often ask myself if they Katy Perry song "I Kissed A Gril and I Liked It" would've been sung by a guy "I Kissed A Dude and I Liked It" what would the reaction be? Hmm.

But it all has to do with era and having more acceptance. Hopefully, one day no one will be ashamed of who they are, and can express their sexuality freely, man or woman.

I personally identify as a lesbian and let me be clear, NOT ALL LESBIANS ARE LIKE THIS. But I'm a lesbian because despite my physical attraction to men, their actions disgust me. That is, men who act like I owe them a smile and a wink and an easy let-down. Men who think they're entitled to a wife with a bangin' rack. Men who are manipulative and abusive. Men who try to sweet talk their way into my bed but turn into an infant when they hear the word "no". Men who think all women "need" a husband. Men who think women "need" validation via romantic escapades with YOU.

Do not be mistaken. I don't hate men. I have male friends who are good people and LEGITIMATELY respectful, whom I would date in a heartbeat.

But what I do hate is men like you. I hope you die alone, you misogynist piece of shit.

Then again many of these women unfortunately have been very extremely abused by men already and are now going the other way which would explain it as well. Or many of them really did have a very horrible life when they were growing up too or a combination of both which is very sad for them if that was the case.

Well these women are such Losers in the first place since many of them are very Rude that i have noticed myself, and it is very hard for us good straight men to start a Normal Conversation with a woman that attracts us since they will tell us to go away which many of these women today are Not worth our time to begin with. Since so many women in College now, many of them have experimented with another woman at one time or another with the help of these stupid reality shows that they have on TV these days as well as the Media. With shows like Ellen and Opera which adds to the problem since many of these type of women think that being with another woman is really cool. Wrong.

Hey there dude, forget about finding a woman and just get yourself a sheep or a goat!

Maybe you feel like there is a much higher population of homosexual women now because society is generally much more accepting of opposite sex attraction than in previous years. Perhaps people aren't masking their attractions as much.

it is definitely very sad that many women are like this today, and it is very obvious why many men like us have trouble meeting a good woman nowadays which i will very much agree. i have a friend that had is wife leave him for another woman which he was a very caring and loving husband that was very much committed to her as well, and it is more sad that they have children too. women into other women is the new trend, and they are so very sad and pathetic. it is very sad for us good men that have to suffer for the other rotten men out there that have been very abusive to women, and this is a very good reason why many women do turn to other women today for love and affection. but it does really suck for us straight men that are looking now, Doesn't It?
