1. The new moderation system - allows a lot of repetitive, clearly fake and/or hardly coherent submissions to make the front page. It's discouraging to see the same old shit over and over again.

2. Butthurt OP's - delete comments they disagree with.

3. Seasonal changes - when school's out for America, there's an influx in short-term commenters. When finals are around, the site has less activity.

4. The mod - has questionable ethics. A certain couple can't both comment on a submission, amongst other things.

5. The site creator - obviously doesn't give a shit about us and doesn't really look into these matters.

  I'd like to see some heavier moderation on troll and spam posts. I'd also like to see some more posts that are understandable rather than riddled with spelling errors and text speak.

    The old moderation system required moderator approval on all submissions. It didn't filter out all the trash but it was a metric fucktonne better than having the current waves of unrelenting shit posts on the front page.

      Ehh, not really. They declined a lot of true IIN questions, seemingly at random, while letting retarded trolling go through because the mods were high/drunk and thought it was funny or whatever.

About 10-20% of comments I post just disappear at browser refresh, and the search apparatus within the website constantly says no results when there are actually tons. (Maybe someone should create a post for all the websites problems, if this one doesn't get recognized by management.)

^I just submitted this in feedback, try and do the same.

The site is dying. Less people are using it, less people are taking it seriously, and more people are trolling.

I think it's a mix of the community and the way the site runs that's causing it but meh. IsItNormal is dying.

To answer OPs question.

Comment Karma. Hell half the shit I post, literally, doesn't go through after browser refresh. Unless its mundane cliché or mediocre like something amorose or the like post.

Also this guy crusades makes a good point that's its INN gold members complaining about comments. And why spend the time replying to something in an intelligent manner if INN isn't going to allow the post. This creates Trolls in my opinion.

And the funny part is INN goes through the effort in trying to make you think your post went though. That's my 2 cents

      I'm in, I can't stand the infectious idea of political correctness or whatever it would be called finding it's way through here. It's a shame responding in an intelligent manner would get rejected because it's not "sensitive" enough. Fuck that, the truth may hurt but at least it doesn't waste anyone's time.
