Why doesn't my boyfriend pay for his own things?

Recently I noticed that when we buy things together, and I pay for something first, for example movie tickets, the thought of paying me back the money will never cross his mind.
This is weird because we're both students not having any financial income, and we're of the same age.
He used to still pay for his own things but recently, even when I ask him to help me buy food and there's a few change he won't pay it back to me.

    Lame!! I don't like it when people buy me things. If I cant buy it, then its my own fault for spending all of my money.
    It's called being responsible for your own actions. He might not have thought about paying you back or he's just immature?

    Here's a hint. Don't buy it for him... What you're doing is allowing him to EXPECT you to take care of him. Remind him before you leave to go out to bring his wallet or whatever and just pay for yourself. If he asks you to pay for him, explain your fiancial situation to him and say you can't afford it.

    You should go to dinner together and pay for your meal only when the check comes he'll probably broke and embrassed that'll teach his scrub ass...make sure you go in your car so you can leave quickly

    because he is a cheapskate, a slob and a scroungy scrappy money grabber! Have you tried giving him more head and less cheap talk? I heard it works for some guys.....
    anything fun costs at least five bucks. Everyone knows that.

    If you can't afford treating him all the time start picking cheaper things to do.

    perhaps now's the time to start thinking about what you can do that's free
