Why does that happen?

Why is it when somebody likes something I like and I feel like I want to kill them? For instance, I found out my friend likes the same band as me but I feel like, by her liking the same band, it feels like she's stealing or taking something from me. It's like over possessiveness. Is it just me or are there anybody else out there who feel the same?

    Maybe you "over-indentify" with your interests so when someone likes the same thing as you, you feel like they're taking your individuality or what makes you "special."

    You are very selfish. You want things all for yourself and don't want to share. Most of us learned to share way back when we played in the sand box with other kids and our pails and shovels. Why didn't you, or are you 3 years old?
