Why do you think Bitches and mean strong women are respected in the society , men are intimidated from but respect them , other women hate them but also kinda look up to them ?

        It's kind of similar to another word (one that I won't mention). Women can call themselves bitches if they want to, but if a man calls a woman a bitch then it's automatically offensive.

          You mean the word nigger that black people use but whites aren't allowed to?
          I see no problem that a white calls a black a nigger if they mean it in a friendly way in the sense of which two black people would. I think that because of two things. 1. White people today never were involved in enslaving black people, and so they can't be heald accountable and made to watch what they say because of what people with the same skin colour in the past done. 2. Black people today have not been enslaved or were never around when that word meant something negative abd hurtful, so shouldn't act as if they have been called a nigger in the same senseas the black people were in the past. It's like when a black person today says they expect or wouldn't accept an apology for slavery from white people today...When did anyone today enslave a white person, and when did a black person today get enslaved? The sad thing is, black enslaved eachother far before whites started enslaving them.

          For example, I'm a bastard son, I don't get deeply insulted when called a bastard though because it's just a word, usually used in a sarcastic role, like "You sneaky bastard".

          Males call other males bitches all the time, you don't see them complaining about it as much.

          Bitch is basically the female version of an asshole. If I was called an asshole, I wouldn't think so deeply about it, it was one insult word out of a thousand others, asshole just happens to be the one that came to your mind, much like the same when a female is called a bitch.

            Yes, that is the word I was referring to.

            I agree about saying it in a friendly manner, but rare is the case where that is accepted as the way in which the word was meant to be used when said. It depends on the pronunciation of it too (nigger=offensive, nigg-uh=not offensive), but even then it still doesn't matter most of the time. Unless you just know the person extremely well it's pretty much a rule that, like you said, white people aren't allowed to use the word "nigger."

            The word bastard has really changed meaning over time... I don't think I've ever heard it used in a literal manner now that I think about it.

            Anyway, it's pretty much a double standard isn't it?

          Well, almost every time I've ever heard a guy call a woman a bitch before, he meant it as in: Just because she's a woman, he can call her that and treat her like trash even though she did nothing wrong; but because he sees himself as a better human being because he has a dick.

          Yes, I've been around some pretty fucked up people. So I guess because of that, when a guy is serious about calling a woman a bitch, I don't take that lightly. But if he were to just say casually, "What's up my bitches," then that is perfectly fine :)

    Since when does "bitch" equal "strong woman"? I have to say, I'm not a fan of this new twist in words. It discredits strong women everywhere and is a bit sexist. It's like it suggests that women who are strong are not ideal and thus viewed negatively in society.

    I will NEVER hit a lady, I have no problem smacking a bitch. I used to be reluctant about hitting any female, then i learned better. "bitch if you want to act like a man I will treat you like a man and beat you up like I would any man." I'm always amazed when they get offended after I hit them.

    Wow that sounds like in go around hitting bitches all the time lol. Nope only about once a year is a bitch dumb enough to push it that far and they usually don't believe what they hear about me being an ass because I'm "such a nice person"

    A bitch is not a strong woman, that's one of the things that makes her a bitch. We, (men), do not like/respect bitches; we just leave them alone before her bitchin' ends up putting us in handcuffs/jail. As far as the boys/men who respect bitches, they are bitches themselves.

    Being a Bitch is the opposite of having a strong will. It only means that you must project your insecurities upon others and instead of responding to dissent and argument and... hell... anything with a sense of rationality, you find it more pertinent to lose your temper and go off on folks- you're not tough, most people just don't want to get thrown into jail/prison for assault you loon. I'm not stepping down because I am scared of you, I am stepping down because I shall lose my job if I get convicted of anything and I accidentally hurt you past the very thin (I live in California) boundary of self defense.

    Anyway, that's it for my rant. People are people, we act according to the results of our environment and the mechanisms that we have developed to keep ourselves sane (to an extent). Sometimes those mechanisms are extremely annoying to others. Live and let live.

    No one likes bitches. They don't even like themselves.

    Damn it seems like a lot of people here have the same assumption of what a bitch is, one who is a loud nagging ranting female who acts tough like a man and so should be put in her place by being smacked

    however, there is another form of "bitch" that exists out there. Im speaking from personal testimony.

    Im naturally an analytical person, I rarely socially smile (but as a female im expected to smile, a passive gesture) mostly because im not easily amused and i have a very calm but assertive demeanor. Ive been told im a "bitch" in this sense because i immediately dismiss bullshit for what it is

    from a self confident female, men find these attractive because it gives them a challenge. they are natually "hunters" in a sense and they have to chase a prize to appreciate it. plus if you tease them in a witty way and have them thinking twice about things, they will also be mentally driven towards you.

    ranting, nagging bitches have no real power. they are ruled by their emotions and throw tantrums to "get their way" this is not real power at all. dont confuse the term bitch here

    Bitch literally means female dog. It was later used to metaphorically compare women to female dogs by describing them as lewd or sensual women. Nowadays, 'bitch' can be anything from someone you hate to a term of friendship among women.
    Anyways, are you sure it's 'MEAN' strong women who are respected or just strong women because I now lots of people who hate and have no respect for mean women, but admire strong women.
