Why do you stay on iin?

What is about this place that makes you lovely people stay? I've spoken to quite a few on here that say that they want to leave but can't or they have considered leaving and even tried, but could not stay away. I wouldn't want most to leave, I'm just wondering why you're here in this happy little place is all. (:

Because it's my only form of social contact. I live in a locked basement with internet connection but no lights or windows. I defecate in a corner and someone squeezes ground beef through the floor boards.

    • That's not a locked basement. That IS IIN! It refusees to let you leave until you admit you love this place. Once you admit that, leaving that place will be impossible!

    • Well now that your tight internet cherry is popped, are you going to spend a few hours in an orgy of posts?

Because occasionally if you weed through all the bad threads you'll find some interesting topics.

It's also amusing as it is entertaining to view you humans fighting for higher social status among your (mostly) anonymous IIN peers.

Last time I tried to leave, people in black rubber suits and gas masks broke into my birdhouse and I can't remember much except the beam of light and a probe of some sort. I think I got a whiff of popcorn at one point, then I woke up behind an abandoned asylum with a sore ass.

    • Stay as long as you wish and leave when you're good and ready. This place could always use a little bit of Freedom every now and then.

This is NOT a happy little place. IIN just has less misery than the isolation I feel when I log off.

  • Leave?...IIN doesn't let you "leave"...It stays with you, binds with your very soul...And then devours you.

    There is no "leaving" IsItNormal...We're trapped...Forever. :'(

I come here for a number of reasons.
    1) things happen to me that I can't talk about with my friends
    2) I have certain urges that I can't talk about with my friends
    3) anonymity fosters boldness, and then you end up saying whatever you want

I've been a regular for quite a few years. Out of all of the forums I've joined over the years, this is the only one I still regularly post on.

I stay because I really like the fact that most of the site doesn't take itself seriously, and there are so many strange posts that I feel like I can share private/disgusting details about my life and it's OK because I can always take comfort in knowing that there will always be someone weirder than me.

Mostly conversation or offering advice...this site is one of the most simple and easy to use that I've come across, which makes it more appealing to keep coming back. However, I could leave if I really wanted to.

I'm not sure. I've never "tried" to leave, but I occasionally go on unintentional hiatus's.

I'm probably just trying to keep myself occupied by constantly coming on here. Nothing in specific is drawing me back.

Since I just joined for three days now, I don't think I'll leave anytime soon. Besides, I like how the users here bring colours and life to IIN with their personalities.

I can also see some posts relating to bitchiness and assholeries. I want to see how the users here handle with these stuff so that I can learn on how to deal with them too. I can't stand bitchiness and assholeries. This website is interesting.

Like anybody has a choice once they've entered. Remember the old Mafia saying; once you're in, the only way out is feet first.
People do not get out of IIN alive, ever. They post goodby, but it's just a ruse. They leave without notice and the silence in itself, is telling.
No, it is better to lurk and never post, than to post and be forever ensnared in the web of IIN.
