Why do you hate school?

I voted for "other". I hated school, as well as I hate university now, because it takes too much free time away, because it's too stressful and sucks me dry of inspiration for anything creative to do!! Education is one of the worst CRAP ever invented by humans!

The education system focusses on teaching students to do as they are told by authority. In school we are not taught to think critically, there are no lessons in philosophy or politics. It is a form of slavery that conditions you to accept you are a worthy only to serve the system, the system that has been set up to deny culture and belittle us as people. Education is great, the current education system however is shit.

It's a stupid system where you waste your entire youth learning increasing amounts of knowledge for when you're older. It takes away years of time when you are young, drilling information that will be outdated in a decade.
I'm not saying education is a bad thing, but I think that we should be able to just enjoy life. That, or invent a way to have youth when your old and have experience like the saying "youth is wasted on the young".

In a western society that emphasises freedom and choice, it is atrociously ironic that young people are forced into schooling without their consent. :/

The only way to get far in school is to regurgitate information back down on paper,and from there forget after the fact.
School is ill equiped for those with the creative minds, and me I have adhd so I'm one of the most creative guys you'll ever meet.

Honestly, Homework takes up too much of my time, and I don't learn a thing from it. Also, anything I learn in school I can learn anywhere else at a fraction of the time

It takes up so much of our lives to teach us things for one exam the we won't even remember.

I think school is one big ass kissing contest of favor-ability and anyone could care less if I do actually learn.

I had my phone out while I was sitting pooping in an upstairs girls bathroom during study hall, of all things. One of the security guards (ex-military, somewhat mean) looked in on me with my jeans and undees down to my ankles and accused me of wasting time. About five minutes later she came back and was even more suspicious of what I was doing. She looked in on me with my phone between my legs taking pictures and splashes she could readily hear hit the water. As I walked through the other side of the bathroom, she was peeing and talking on her walkie-talkie and I quickly shot a picture of her thru the stall door crack. My friends thought it was hilarious and prompted me to post it, but my mother made me promise not to do it because she didn't want me to get suspended.

I HATED school because I was bullied. Schools are meant to drag down to the level of the bully, who thrives. The internet is way better to learn at your own pace. try khanacademy.org for example.

in school, I spoke up alot and would get into disagreements with a lot of my teachers. it annoyed my peers even more.

I'm actually in school now, on my four hour break. I have an hour and 40 minutes until Anthropology. I don't hate it, but I just want my weekend to start now -__-

I actually quite liked school, I was never bullied, I had a big group of friends, B-A student. Passed all my exams and A levels. but all the girls were sluts...

I once read something between the lines of: "Slavery was never abolished; it was changed to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week at school", and I can't emphasize how much I agree with that.

This question only applies to high school/middle school idiots, who feel "forced" into attending class, morons.

Social ladder, Office Drones, learn by doing and failing, and the fact that you could learn a week of school from 1hour on the internet

Is extreme financial requirements a reason? What kind of school are we talking about by the way?

I hate school acept social studies i hate it the only reason i get good grades is because my teacher i have a crush on him he so cute i skip some of my other classes cause the suck.

I hate school because I know that Im going to marry a rich, hot, mucley, guy who will support me and I won't have to life a finger. So basically my effort and time is just being wasted at school.
