Why do women wear bikinis?

    Girls like me would say > WHO CARES ABOUT THE BIKINI OR ANY SWIMMING SUIT?!?!
    we go to beaches to enjoy and that's 100% still possible in any clothes we're wearing.. so we jump into water, splash waters, play games and do much more. not even thinking once about bikini. enjoyment and comfort is imp. in any form you wanna have it.
    so for all those girls who actually wear bikinis, if you have fun in that.. good for you. ;)

    Where I live women swim in bikinis all the time. I don't see the issue and the only answer that comes to mind is: because they want to. It's not much of answer but I don't think there needs to be more of answer than that.

    It's not like it's harder to swim in them. Maybe if you swam for sport, but otherwise bikinis are fine.

    i have yeah, lol.. i didn't think of it being impractical.. just have to make sure when standing up (especially from the ocean) that everything was still in place..

    A bikini is basically just a bra and panties, but women have no problem with wearing something so revealing at the beach out in public, but they get all concerned about being seen in something like that when they're not at the beach. It's all so ironic really.

    I know women don't take showers at home in bikinis. It's all false modesty. Don't keep the clothes on for me ladies, just pretend I'm not there

    Because it's the least that's still acceptable to wear in a pool or at the beach. I'd prefer to go naked, but since that's mostly prohibited I wear as little clothing as allowed.
