Why do some people react so aggressively towards rejection?

I work at a night club. I'm female and most people get really drunk there so I get hit on a lot but reject like 98% because I have to focus on my work. I let them know nicely that I'm not interested and am just doing my job and pretty much all guys react normally to it. But it has happened to me twice now that a guy (guest of the night club) tried to get to know me more personally and I wasn't interested and they got extremely pissed, yelled something at me, then raged and stormed off. I'm never rude, I just let them know I'm just doing my job here. So now my question is why do these few people (who I've never even met before) get so extremely pissed off? :/ (And the ones who did yell at me angrily both weren't drunk)

    Partly because they are crazy but some of them probably flip out because they have been constantly rejected and they go into the situation thinking "im going to flip out if she says no."
    They are already angry before they talk to you but decide to show it when there is nothing to lose.

    Those are the ones you stay away from. Violent stalkers. Don't let it get to you personally they are just fucking crazy and mad because they're not getting what they want (like a little kid lol)

    It's because the general consensus is that Barladies are easy. Their ego gets hurt.

    If you want, you can just start wearing a ring on your "I'm Taken" finger. If people flirt with you, just show the ring and they'll think you are married

    Its mostly about an ego/insecurity thing the guy is totally hammered up so he can talk to the dream girl. But get angry when rejected because he feels like you think you're better than him. Meaning you're so perfect you wonder why that guy would ever dare talk to you. Its stupid some guys just can't let go that a women simply doesn't want him. A lot of guys think their very attractive and that every girl lust after him but that's not the case. Ignore those losers keep doing your thing girl! :)

    The advice above is brilliant here but if you're sick of the shit try looking for another job. Don't give a rats arse about these guys. Most of them who come there have serious problems unsorted and you shouldn't let yourself be concerned. I know a bar where there are only waiters who serve the guys.
