I know someone who has terminal cancer and her last weeks she has become so negative that its hard to be around her. We all have asked her to stop but all she wants to do is complain and point out everyone's flaws...what can I do to help her and for myself be more understanding?
...They're about to lose their life and you're questioning why they're negative? I sure as hell know if I was terminal I wouldn't be a big bowl of daisies either. This person has struggled with cancer, they feel sick, they feel tired and they're likely very depressed right now. They get to lie around all day and think about the fact that they have to die soon. I don't think that could provoke happy thoughts in anyone.
Try to make them laugh. It's the only way you can allow them to live their last days in peace.
If you can't be sad when you're dieing(sic), when the fuck can you be sad?
Use your imagination, for goodness sake! How would you feel if you knew you were dying?
She needs lots and lots of love even if it's hard to give and maybe she's testing people around her to find out if she's really loved before she dies.
Ask her what she wants and needs and within reason try & give it to her, it won't be for long by the sound of it and maybe you can make her last days more peaceful.
Lack of food means lack of serotonin and low blood sugar and that makes people do all kinds of funny things. They get aggressive and angry and panicky.

I'm not going to insult your behavior. I'll stick to insulting how completely and totally retarded you have to be to not already know the answer to this question. If you got hit by a car and went into a vegetative state I'm quite sure it would have no effect on your level of brain activity.
It seems to me that people who are dying suddenly have a mistaken belief they have a deeper understanding of life. My advice, just humour them, in a few week they will be worm food and their opinions won't matter anymore anyways.
