Why on Earth are people injecting krokodil. FYI...In case you didn't know, krokodil is a heroin-like drug that addicts inject and it rots away your flesh. Addicts die a couple years after starting because they essentially rot to death, right down to the bones. Even while this is happening, they do not go to the hospital, but just keep injecting because the krokodil is so addictive. It got the name due to the bloody "scales" that users get on their skin. It's made from mixing cough syrup with pain thinners and solvents. The drug is then injected into the skin, but contains all sorts of paint thinners, solvents, and other corrosives which is why it rots flesh

    Because they are so addicted to heroin they do it when they run out and cant find any real stuff so they don't withdrawl thinking they will only do it "once". Once they do a drug once they think it's ok to do it again and get hooked.

    Also they're idiots.

    I believe its usually taken by mistake users believe its a good substitute for heroin. Nobody ever wants to become an addict they're no dumber than you

    Because they want to escape the harsh realities of their lives which in my opinion doesn't justify the need to get hooked on such drugs.

    I love all this judgmental "idiot" shit. I've seen a bunch of documentaries about the people that've done Krokodil, normally people in Russia, and honestly they're the down-n-outers of the country. Their life is pretty shit and, with or without drugs, it looks like they get zero support from their state or their (often non-existant) families.

    In a life like that, with no hope, no opportunities and constant dangers, it's very understandable (imo) they would look to drugs as an outlet. Otherwise, what the hell else have you got? If it were me, honestly, I'd much rather have my body rot on Krokodil or whatever else drugs then spend a life totally depressed.

      I agree with you actually. I don't think it's very nice to just jump to say that they are idiots. I do believe most people who start doing drugs do it because they are unhappy. People need to stop judging people like that.

    Ugh! I heard about krokodil a while ago and not much is more horrifying than that.
    I think it most cases, they are already hopelessly addicted to some other drug and by the time its effects are showing they just don't care or cant feel it.
    Its pretty gross and sad, I hope whoever created it will burn in hell.

      I actually have have excessively used substances and I fully know that getting "high" can be quite interesting and fun. However, your flesh rotting off sounds like one hell of a bad trip to me.
