Why do other girls give me dirty looks? iin?

okay, I am a 21 year old girl and for about a few years I notice other girls that don't know me look at me like i'm very ugly. and sometimes they glare at me like I did something wrong. I don't dress like a slut and I don't think i'm bad looking. I don't get, why do they do this? I'm 5'3 tall, short dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes and pale skin. i'm a little bit overweight and most other people tell me that i'm cute/pretty. and it seems to happen when I go shopping alone. is it normal?

    Do you ever think about the way you present yourself in public and I don't mean appearances as in clothes and makeup. I mean how you hold yourself the look on your face your body language. I have a natural bitch face and have noticed that when I'm not paying attention I receive dirty looks. I've also been told on several occasions that I seem unapproachable and mean. I make an effort now to smile and not look like I am mean mugging everyone. Maybe that is part of your problem I wouldn't know without knowing you though.

    I'd say either you are misinterpreting their gaze or your nonverbal communication comes off as standoffish. I found out that that is how I came off and I worked on it for a while and now I don't really get odd reactions when people look at me.
