Why do my looks improve as the day goes on?

When I wake up in the morning my face isn't shaped right. I'm not talking about it not being clean or anything like that, it just looks all round and chubby. In short, ugly, LOL. I do not wear makeup, so this isn't a factor. But by the end of the day, it has slimmed out and my cheekbones are more defined and I look much better.

My theory is that when I go to sleep, blood doesn't flow through my body as well so I look different. But when I get up and start moving around, the blood starts circulating and I look better.

Anyone else notice this?

its because there is mucus build up in the nose area and puffiness around the eyes
most supermodels sleep with a lot of pillows so their head can rest high, this will prevent from all that junk flowing upwards to your face

Not correct. In med school we learned that the leg muscles serve as blood pumps so it's not just the heart that pumps the blood. So when you lie down, blood is not circulated efficiently which is why people get bed sores. She is correct. It is normal for your face to look better as the day goes on as it loses fluid through the lymphatic system which responds to gravity. The face is at the top of the body so it lose more fluid.
