I like to talk about it but it's hard to with the people around during the day (coworkers) so its nice to openly discuss here

You forgot the most obvious one. Sex is interesting. It also says a lot about the psychology of a person. It also covers a wide range of bases. It also goes into love which if you look at it scientifically love is like a fairy tale. It should not exist so how does it? Everything can be explained scientifically and sex covers a lot of who we are. Be it gender, partner, sexual tastes, deviants, desire, and can say a lot about your home life and can be effected by suppressed emotions that we try to ignore. That and if its something like "How do you masturbate" it is such a turn on reading all the comments saying how. So all of our inner perv jumps out. I think most of us are a little perverted sometimes. Even if its just a perverted joke now and again.
I think it's because so many sex posts have things that other users can relate to - more-so than other types of post.
Everyone here has good points. The only answer I like that no-one else has given is that sometimes I think it's a form of humblebragging. "Look how much I know about sex! Look how informed I am and how much experience I have!".
I think that's a pretty cynical view though.
