Why do i torture small animals

Hi. I have the need to always torture little animals.

It started when I got my first pet rat. IV had it for a while. always loved on it then one day I wanted to just hurt it so much. So I got pliers and just started pinching it. After that I took a shoelace and tied it as a noose and would hang it for a couple seconds just to let it suffer but not die.

After that I submerged it in water as if a torture sequence from James bond. Eventually its neck broke and I through it in the woods..

My situation is only getting worse. 3 rats have lost their lives. And my torture sequences are only getting more screwed up.
When I do it I feel my addrenaline pumping and it gets me pumped to do it more. I don't feel sad for the rats when I'm done. But I know what I'm doing is wrong but I can't help it. And I fear that I will do worse things when I grow up.

Do I need help?..

    I used to do the same thing, but with cats/kittens. I've suppressed the urges for 15 yrs now, but they've always been there. Lately, my family has adopted 3 birds, two cats and puppy. Oddly enough, despite actually liking cats, I still get the occasional urge to hurt them. Don't know what will happen in the future, but for now, things are cool...and calm.

    Funnily enough, I used to do the same thing. I'd devise all manner of traps and painful torture to hurt the rats. I understand exactly what you're going through. I'd suggest getting help from a phsycologist.

    I never had a phsycologist, but one day, after killing my third rat, my other new baby rat started licking the lifeless body. I just realized exactly how sick I was and that I desperately needed help. I stopped hurting mine and saw how loving and adorable they could really get. I've even started helping out with taking in abandoned and abused rats from rat rescues. It's really just a state of mind.

      Wow I can't believe how long ago this was. I had to reset my password to login just so I could reply to this, but I'm doing great now. I haven't done anything of the sort for roughly 2 years now. I believe it was a state of mind from certain circumstances that I was in. And I believe doing those acts were just a stress and anger relief, but I'm glad I've refrained from continuing that, for now.

    Well it also happened with me twice, but my adfrenaline didn't went up. I felt nothing, no idea why I even did it. In my case after I finished there was parts of cat everywhere and a big pool of blood.
