Why do i like older guys

I have being dating older guys for the last six years they just seem more grounded and don't have as many hang ups as younger guys that I have dated. I find sex with them awesome and they have taught me a lot should I stop wasting my time with these old guys I have had a couple want to marry me but that means I have to give up seeing all my older guys and I cannot bring myself to do this. I am happy with my life, but my friends say I am mad I compare myself to them and I am happier than they are. Is it normal that I like older guys?

    Do you mean you're 13 and the older men are 17? Or are you 23 and the older men 50? It really isn't the same.

    i think nature made us to like older guys .... im the same , coz guys my age are retarted and cant see them as attractive ... but older guys 40+ have everything i lust in a man and i mean everythhing.

      I agree with you but I would be careful to say that it's not ALL older guys.

      To state it more accurately I would say all the men I have ever found attractive have been aged around 30-50 with a few even older than that. I have absolutely never seen an attractive man under 28.

      I'm generalising based on my experience but younger males seem to have very different priorities. Older men habe so much more to talk about! There's way more to it than that of course.

    I just wrote a question about this. I have 2 daughters who have friends that always flirt with me. I have no clue why, but God the are young beautiful, and more mature than most their age. They are 16 and legal in my state, and it makes it very hard to not have an open relationship with them. I always wondered why young women flirt so much with me, it makes me crazy! at least 5 of my daughter friends have really let me know they think i am good looking and flrt while around me. Its so nice considering im in my ealry 40s and woemn my age act like they are dead!

    Nah, I think women like older men because they're usually more mature. I agree. Guys my age are ridiculously in love with COD. Don't get me wrong I love me some Call of duty, but all day?? Most older guys seem to get it.

    quab be carefull there only 16 they don't know what they want there flirting with you and your flirting back to them its a game if you end up taking it further and all hell breaks loose you and your daughters will be the only loosers other parents dont see they flirted with you they see you took advantage of them you being 40+ and nothing will convince them if one of the girls get jealous they can be real evil been there done that.

    Here are the problems. As much as you might think you are "clicking" A much younger person can't hold a "real conversation"(no offense meant) with a person older than them. It boils down to life experience. They have more than you do...simple as that.

    The things you have in common are: He likes your young vagina and gullability(no offense meant), You like his financial situation and the security an older person can provide. "Women want security like a man wants approval."

    The two parties involved are on different paths in life completely. So I'm sorry to say you won't ever find "the one" should you ever want to settle down.

    On a side note the majority of women I have known who dated older men are shallow, naieve and materialistic.

    The majority of my older friends who date the jail bate are usually in a mid-life crisis, just divorced, still married, have children or all of the above. The one common denominator about them I can tell you, is they are looking for a break from their "real" life.

    I think if you were truly happy, you wouldn't have lobbed this serious/life altering question on a shantty internet site. To a bunch of judgemental know-it-alls... well people like me.

    Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for. As harsh as it was, it wasn't meant to be mean... Just very honest.

    I'm not an older guy, but I am a sucessful younger man. The majority of my colleagues and friends are older guys. I'm around this topic all the time. So I feel I am speaking sense.

    Though it may not seem so from your perspective. You are getting the shorter end of the deal. Then again it depends on what "happy" means to you. If you're after the sex and money... go for it. However, the high points you listed don't equate to long term happiness in my opinion. I hope this helped.

      You can equally find naive, materialistic and shallow women of any age really. Maybe you are too "young and successful" and naive to see that yet.

      Age difference can cause problems, but having a similar age doesn't cause a match.

      Being too sure of your view of the world also shows a bit of shallowness.

      BTW, I am your age...

      I like that you contributed your opinion and that you took the time to explain and give reasons. However, despite that what you said is true some of the time I disagree that it's as simple as that for everyone.

      I think the reasons people like this older-younger relationship dynamic and the outcomes depend on specifics.

      I also think you aren't looking at what women generally find attractive in a man. Women generally prefer personality and compatibility over youth and looks.

      It's very likely that for some older men a significant motivation to date a younger woman is physical attraction.

      For women of all ages up to about 40, I'd guess, the allure of the older male (let's say by ten years or more) starting usually around 30 and up is mostly about emotional stability. Men over 30 tend to be more mellow and more confident/sure of themselves. They are often less afraid of commitment and their goals are often more similar to what women generally look for from a relationship.

    cause maybe older guys can do more for you and respect you more then cocky teens who think its ok to be a player while they are young cause there so confident they will find someone when there older. screw what these other people said like the guy saying your immature and the girl saying its a daddy thing. none of us really know why you like older guys, you do though you just cant understand why.

    yes my man is 13 yrs older im 22 hes 35 i love him dearly we are both poor we don't mind as long as we have the things we need we also have a 4 month old child i am so in love with him and more attracted to him than any one i have ever known! i married when i was 16 to someone that was 6 yrs older than me and it didn't work out we were married for 4 yrs he was very controlling... and sometimes physically abusive when we had a baby he was mean to her so i split other wise i would have stayed. as it stands i have no feelings for him he puts me through alot with our daughter still. he tried to punish a newborn!! he is an idiot!

    Depends on what you mean by older. I like "older guys" but meaning like 6 years older than me. (I'm in my 20's) But if you're my age and liking guys significantly older, I'm not sure if that's normal.
