Why do guys worry so much about what's "gay?"

It seems like most girls experiment with each other at some point but guys have to post a poll on is it normal just to ask if it's okay for them to stick a finger in their own ass! Your dick won't fall off because you like something other than good ol' fashion P-in-the-V intercourse.

My question is why does it even matter? What terrifies guys so much about not fitting into the "100% straight, only pussy for me!" category when they could just be out learning what they do and don't enjoy?

I think there is a misconception that if a guy isn't straight, then he is less masculine. Until quite recently, gay women were seen as less feminine than their straight counterparts.
Perhaps it's all about perception and self image for those who haven't come to grips with their sexuality, whatever it may be.

I don't know, while guys probably have a larger issue with it, we have a non-insignificant number of posts of girls asking pretty much the same thing.

Younger guys who are still questioning what it means to be manly ask this. Many men figure it out and are not threatened by what others think. And just because others think it, does not make it true. It's a defense mechanism for those who dont have all the answers. hut who has all the answers? Give them a break and don't perpetuate negative stereotypes.

And dont for one second think that this website accuratley portrays the average individual.

There is nothing wrong with not wanting your sexuality to be called into question. I don't see too many complaints from pro-LBGTs when gay people don't "experiment" with being straight to see if they do or don't like it. You don't necessarily have to try something to know that you don't like it. I've never tried on stilettos but I do not like them and I can guarantee that I would not be comfortable at all with them on if I tried. Not the best comparison, I know, but a decent one nonetheless.

    • I know not everyone is curious to begin with. I just mean it's not going to turn their world upside down if they do enjoy something they are curious about. Unless you're Amish or something like that I guess. I do feel that there is something wrong with worrying about what others label you as sexually if you miss out because of it. I get what you're saying though. Oh, and who would be comfortable in shoes like that lol.

It's social norms. For a guy to find out his new gf has had sex with other women, probably "ok" to "that's hot." For a girl to find out her new bf has had sex with other guys, probably not good.

Being gay or especially bisexual is an advantage in life. I like getting another guy to suck my cock.

    • Personally I agree that it's advantageous. You get to experience more. I'm trying to get my nerve up to try some stuff.

If it feels good do it and don't worry about it. Sucking cocks and fucking guys is cool.

Blame it on society, it's views on masculinity and what it means to be a real man.

    • There are just a lot of posts on here asking if its okay for them to enjoy things like that. Which is ridiculous

Unfortunately it's think it's just a social stigma that isn't going to change anytime soon. Im more than comfortable enough with myself to understand that although I enjoy things that others might consider "gay" that I'm straight. Its similar to calling girls a "slut" because she sleeps with more than one guy, but if a guy sleeps with more than one girl he is viewed as a "player". As long as you are comfortable with what feels good to you and who you are that's all that matters.
