Bad things happen to everyone. As do good things.

Because life is chaotic, unpredictable and therefore often unfair.

well we only really notice when its ridiculous. like if some idiot that you really hate suddenly finds $100 on the street and you hear about it, you'd be angry at that. But if a nice person who never did anything wrong and works hard finds $100 on the street and you find out about it, you'd think, "well good on him" and you'd go back to reading your newspaper

Because there is no such thing as god, karma, fate, etc.

How do you know they're "bad" people?

None of us can see the whole of anyone else - not even the whole of ourselves, to make that kind of judgement.

So good and bad things happen to everyone. Why? Because just because WE think someone is bad does not mean it's the truth.

The reason good things happen to bad people and vice versa is because God is trying people, hardening them, molding them into better specimens to serve as an example for the weaker members of society.

If someone got everything they wanted, they'd be very soft and the least little thing would destroy them. Therefore, the good people who were used to having only good things happen to them would be weak and the bad would be very strong. In that sense, we should be thankful it doesn't work that way.

It's just life and how things go, chance and coincidence.
I don't believe in karma or any religious jibberygoo.
Sigh, there's always someone bringing up the word of god and I have to reply to him because I find it so ridiculous and so irritating. -.-

    Because karma doesn't exist.

Often a good person is more prepared to put themselves in the line of fire than a bad person, so maybe bad things do happen to good people more. It is just that good people tend to focus on the good things that happen to themselves, and the bad things that happen to other people.

just because you are good to others does not mean others will be good to you. Its a part of life, I personally dont believe in God or karma.

because god suffers from schizophrenia with his alter ego being the devil. that or he's just too pussy to fight back. instead, he keeps insisting on turning the other ass cheek while the devil spanks him at his own game

    Define "bad person".
Are we talking hitler or serial killer bad? Cos I think most people like that don't live great lives.
Or do you really just mean someone you don't approve of for some reason?
