Why do gay men become gynecologists?

I don't get it. i would think that this was one job gay men would run away from, but over the years they are becoming more and more of them. I know that they are doing there job but still i think its weird.
what do you guys think?

    Being a gynecologist is hardly about sex. As a matter of fact I would think that seeing the worst of female problems would be a huge turn off to most straight men, so why wouldn't it be a good career for a gay guy?
