Why do big people say they have curves?

I've been hearing a lot of big women say they have curves. But I don't think they do. Mind you big people don't bother but do concern me with their life style. I think real curves are when a woman is at her plateau and she has a noticeable figure. Like an hourglass for example. I think big women just have rolls. I'm not trying to put them down or anything sorry if I offended you. I just wanted to know. Is it just me who doesn't understand?

What's funny to me is when people start getting into that "real woman" argument. If you're a grown woman, you aren't a "real woman" unless you're full-figured, I guess. I don't agree with it, but I find it funny.

I have a "fat", "feminine [UGH]" figure and I cpmpletely sympathise.

If you are over a UK size 18, you do not have "curves" unless your waist curves inwards. If that is not the case, you are fat. No two ways about it.

The 'real woman' argument makes me laugh. Half of the people who argue for the side saying that only fat girls are real women are usually just fat chicks trying to justify being fat. The same goes for them saying they have curves when they just have one big round curve.

They'd like to think of them as curves, but I tend to think of them more as cinnamon buns, which, if you eat too many, will make you FAT.

Most overweight women don't want to say "I'm a fatass" so to try to maintain a good self image it might trigger them to say they have curves when it's just bubbling lipids.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. There's a difference between curvy and fat, but I'd gladly get with a big girl over a skinny girl. And in fact, I do when I can.

iPhone won't let me reply to; but as far as the "real woman" thing goes while I do think that's a horrible term as one body type is no better than any other.. The one thing that bothers me is when I see girls starving themselves because they're not skinny enough, and when models look like skeletons. :( stay in shape so you're healthy, but you don't have to be a stick or suffer if you feel healthy and are ok with how you look. :)

I agree, they're just trying to justify them being fat. I can't stand when they try to call their rolls curves!
