Why do a lot of people hate me and what should i do?

10/10 you're so self conscious that everything they do, you interpret as being against you. People generally are more into themselves then they are in paying attention to others. That's why not everyone would make a good cop or green beret or that kind of shit. Self awareness is easy, it's being aware of others that some people have a hard time with.

Somehow, I don't think wearing band tee's and black eyeliner is the only reason why they hate you. As a matter of fact (if the sitcoms can be believed) young teens who dress like that are usually quite popular.
Not like I'd date you or anything, but I'm sure SOMEBODY thinks you look cool. So it's gotta be something else? Like being a member of IIN, perhaps?

It could be because you're an emo and the stereotypes that surround them. For instance, for many people, cutting, depression and suicide is synonymous with being an emo. Therefore, many parents don't won't their children to associate with anything to do with Emo, for fear that there children will turn into Emo.

Another factor, is that some people are into emo simply because, they think it is cool (poseurs). This belief and action gives people who are actually in the movement a bad rep.

I guess it depends more on what you are doing...

I just removed someone from my social media which is constant whiner. I would define her as an emo.. she complains for hours on end to hundreds of people about how she feels bad.. all for attention.

Think of it this way, would you date yourself? Would you spend time around someone who acts just like you do? Take a good hard look in the mirror and if you don't like what you see.. change yourself.

I had many people hate me in school for no reason. Except for the fact that I was small and a little whiny at times. Maybe it was because I was smart and over emotional, but it made me appreciate the few people that were my friends. Just appreciate the ones that are true to you

Nothing wrong with wearing band shirts, I spend most of my time in my boyfriend's band shirts. They're kick ass and comfy. If you're a guy and wearing eyeliner though, I would suggest you knock it the fuck off before people start thinking you're a homo.

I was also into the whole emo thing from the age 13 to about 17, till I grew up and realised there's a better way to express a hardcore type style than looking depressed and faggy all the time. Sack up, get some tattoos, and fuck what other people think. Just don't make it harder on yourself.

What's wrong with only having 3 friends?

Dunno, my understanding is that emo kids are all the rage these days. However it also depends on your age. If you're 24 and you still haven't grown the hell up, then yeah, that's why people don't really like you.
