Why can't my iphone get this ?

My iPod touch has a really cool thing called night shift its really pretty I'm never shutting it off. But my iPhone doesn't have it. My iPod is the 6th generation. They say only older generations of Apple can get it but my iPod is brand new I just got it for Christmas. I got an iPhone 5c I've had for a few years. I wish my iPhone could get night shift. After all 6 is more than 5 and 6th generation is new. So why can't my iPhone get nigh shift ? Is there a way I can get it ?

    The bite missing from the fruit tells you to buy the next new phone, thats why android is WAY better, it can have user developed apps, even tho I personally can't do that, I know a few who can...
