Why can't i loose weight?

Why am I not loosing weight?
I've been trying to loose weight for which seems like a lifetime and I'm getting really down and frustrated coz nothing is shifting.
I've been eating a lot less recently and trying to cut out unhealthy snack, I've also been doing Zumba twice a week. Hopefully increasing to 3 times a week this week.
I don't eat fruit or salad but eat quite well apart from that. Lots of fish, quorn and veg. I use the fitness pal app to try and track my food too. I have the odd bad day with chocolate etc but overall I've been good and eating 1500 cals a day.
But every time I get on the scales it stays the same or sometimes even goes up!
I don't no what to do.
I'm off to Florida with my boyfriend in July and can't be looking fat and flabby.
I don't know what else to do, do I keep going with what I'm doing? Will I not see results for a few weeks yet?
I'm nearly 14stone which is deverstating, I can't bare to look in the mirror. I'm a size 12/14. Someone please help me x

You need to be more active than just zumba twice a week.

  • I'm sorry you don't eat fruit or salad and expect to lose weight? Wtf
    1. You need to be exercising 5 times a week, cardio one hour a day would be good
    2. Snacking is good, HEALTHY snacking. Eating throughout the day increases your metabolism, your body is constantly getting fed so it realizes there is not need to store fat. Eat some fruit, nuts or yogurt in between meals.
    3. Water, water, water. You need to drink lots of water it makes you feel full and flushes out toxins.
    4. Cut out unnecessary carbs, stick with lean meats for protein, eat lots of fruits/veggies/grains
    5. SLEEP. Sleep is your friend you must sleep it will help you lose weight... Idk how but it does

And remember muscle weighs more than fat so at first it may not seem like anythings improving by looking at the scale but you will see a difference. None of this happens over night; it takes 4 weeks for you to see a difference, 8 weeks for your friends to, and 12 weeks for the world to.

Get a diet scale - do the math.

Try focusing on what you eat instead of how many calories you eat, and consider eating a paleo/lchf-inspired diet. I.e., avoid sugar, processed foods, white bread and pasta. Also I wouldn't (and don't) shun fatty cuts of meat.

When it comes to exercise, I think walking is a very good idea.

Drink water instead of anything else.

Take at least an hour walk/exercise per day even when you really don't feel like it.

Put up realistic goals and rewards for yourself.

Pick ONE unhealthy thing that you can't live without and eat SOME of that once a week to keep your spirits up.

I have a weird body image and WANT to stay a bit under normal weight so when I have to drop some kilos I eat around 1200 calories a day, walk for an hour and drink a lots of water.
Usually I'm back in shape within a month.

You need more than zumba classes twice a week. Like everybody else is saying do cardio. Just 30min a day of jogging should be enough.

Exercise, exercise, exercise! Stay away from carbs and drink lots and lots of water. And did I mention exercise? Yeah, lots of exercise, too.
A great deal is how you prepare food. Baking or steaming fish (any food) are acceptable; frying is not. No oils or butter or margarine for cooking. No sauces on your fish or veges. Low salt.
And did I mention exercise? Yeah, lots of exercise, too.

Cardio every day (or at least 5 times a week), not just Zumba twice a week. Those classes like that invite you every opportunity to slack off.

Set a path to go walking/jogging/running outside if you don't like the gym.

You have to be really vigilant about it or else you're going to have trouble.
