You could be extremely stressed or you could have insomnia. There is also a condition called sleep apnea. Anyone of these could be the cause of your sleep problem

Listen to me! I have been there done that. When I cannot sleep or am stressed out I rely on hypnosis, it sounds weird and crazy but it works great. Just look up vids on YouTube made by "Eddini" he has wonderful hypnosis vids that can relax you and make you go to sleep. Trust me it works.

You have two options if you want to avoid the doctor. Why fight it, take a nap in the middle of the day and do homework at 1am.

or, you can try to regulate your sleep patterns with proper diet and exercise. Chamomile tea can help calm the body but if you are serious about sleep, kava and valerian are about as potent as most sleeping pills. Just be careful as it can be tough on your liver. (the Yogi brand of tea makes a good bedtime tea)

Go to the dr and explain the problem. It could be a multitude of physical problems, like vitamin or mineral deficiencies or a thyroid problem. The dr will probably want to do blood tests. You might have to take tablets to rectify the problem.....but it doesn't mean you will always be on them.
