people can wear whatever they want, but society dictates that certain prints/colours/fabrics are "feminine" and others are "masculine". because being "feminine" is read as being "lesser" in society, for a man to wear something coded as "feminine", he would apparently be degrading and embarrassing himself - which would cause people to look down on him. of course, that shouldn't be the case, fabrics shouldn't be gendered and people should feel free to wear whatever they want without judgement, but it's sad that society stops them from doing so. :(

Men wear silk! Silk shirts, ties and undergarments are pretty common. As for lace, like someone else said...I believe it's cultural. Perhaps some practicality behind it too, since men did/do more physically demanding labor so wearing lace would be a disaster. But lots of women don't wear or like lace too. I'm not fond of it.

Masculine fabrics/materials? I think certain knits (stitch styles) are. Denim, corduroy, oilcloth, duck weave (think Carhartt), leather and suede are masculine. There's plenty of masculine prints and cuts as well.

I wouldn't say that's true in all cases. A woman wearing men's clothing (as in men's cuts) IS looked at differently. Lesbian? Rough? What's her deal? Eyes are definitely batted, women dressing in masculine clothes are definitely judged.

The fabrics and knits I listed are used in women's clothing (though some are very, very rarely found in women's) but they are 'feminized'. So think, what is the male equivalent of lace? Perhaps netting? Chain/metal?

Lace clothing for men does exist, it's just not very popular. I don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making it. In the US anyway, it's culture. If guys want to wear lace they can, guys just don't seem to want to very much. There's a limited range of clothing that men OR women can wear without judgement.

You've obviously never rubbed your hardon between two soft, supple, female ass cheeks covered in satin.

    Oh, oh, aah.

Put that in your spank bank and see if it earns interest.

    ... because it's considered a feminine thang.

But why? No fabric is considered just a masculine thing? I believe live and let live and people should be able to wear Wat they want and not be judged.
