Why are women much more often bisexual than men?

I once heard someone say that in essence, everyone is bisexual, and it's just religion and society making them feel guilty about it. I disagree. Though I have NOTHING against people with different sexual preferences, I for one would never EVER want to be with another man. I think most people are heterosexual. Still, women seem to be much more often bisexual than men. Why exactly is that?

I've often wondered. It almost seems normal for women to have had an experience with other women. They joke about it, boast about it, even. I think women are freer about things like that.

Men, with all their insecurities would be scared about admitting they even have these thoughts. Because they're scared of admitting it, it doesn't happen as often. And when it does happen, you're less likely to hear them talk about it.

I think, as a man, if you say that you have never once even considered what it would be like to get up to x, y or z with another man, then you're either lying or there's something wrong with you. The sooner we men admit that, the less insecure we'll be, and the sooner we'll stop using the word "gay" as if there's something wrong with being gay.

Sure, I have thought about what it would be like, but it only lated for about 5 seconds. Then I got cramps in my stomach. Seriously. I don't think there's something wrong with me.

      Your comment rocks though.

Exactly. Even if it's only considering it the same way you'd consider a trip to the dentist (i.e. something you wouldn't like).

But men are so quick to dissociate themselves with even the thought of it, it reeks of being scared of being judged.

I don't think there's anything wrong with you either, but you did do that thing of proving you're a man by showing how distasteful you find the thought of gay sex. :P

        • Well, I really do find it distasteful, even though I HAVE thought about it (on SEVERAL occasions) and don't have ANYTHING against gays in the least.

There is a whole bunch of bullshit about Religion, and society will.... it can go fuck itself.

I think it just happens. I wouldn't 'classify' myself as bi, but I've had several 'experiences' with my two best friends over the last couple of years. But it was all innocent fun, you know?

For one, because a woman is really a very beautiful being. We have softer skin, less hair on our body, prettier facial features, etc. you all know what I mean. A sexual relationship between two women is, very very very roughly speaking (I don't need to be lectured, I know how it goes), is similar to a heterosexual make out session, whereas one between two males is somewhat more invasive. This is the point where I think most straight men will not be so open to experimenting. There's an "extra element" in the picture, the penis; while in the females' there's one "missing", also the penis. I'm not sure I got my point across, but it's something along those lines, in my opinion.

Less hair? there is the legs, the arm pits, pubic hair around the vagina, the only thing though is they shave the only place they don't have hair on is the chest area usually not anyway. So your comment isn't acurate, and some women have hair on their arms, but hair around the body is natural though except men and women are expected to shave by society.
