Why are they like this to everyone who is only being nice?

why are people at my school always like this:
one day they will be very nice to you and say you are awesome and then the next they will say I don't like you and you're an idiot, then the next time they see you they will be nice, then mean the next time they see you, then it just carries on like that and you don't know if they like you or not because they change it every time? why are these people so two-faced?

    They probably are going through something. Don't take it seriously. If it's bad to the point where they are making you feel bad about yourself then choose no friends over crappy mean friends.
