Why are the cities and rural areas so different?

In America I notice when I drive through the city limits there are a lot of liberal people. When I go through rural areas people are far more conservative. I dont understand why this is so drastic. Through rural America for example I will se many people wearing shirts with rifles on them. Then the city ill see BLM shirts or rainbow shirts.

This is almost always the case in almost any city/rural area throughout America. What causes these two to be so different?

  • The difference is in life style

The city offers maximum convenience, stores are always close, there are apartment complexes and houses, there are many different and varied jobs for people of many different academic backgrounds

The country life offers a more rustic, traditionally human path, you can have land and livestock, there's big open space to be more free, you can shoot a gun and not have thirty people call the police

So the trick to using all this info is assessing the mindsets that are attracted to which specific locale. There are anomalies, sure, but overall it paints a pretty good picture. Just think about it, especially as you meet people, you can learn a lot from a face

City people have no clue where their food comes from.
Everyday life for the people in each locale is completely different from the other.
You're more likely to get shot in the city.

Well when the zombie apocalypse hits or the tyrannical democrat government wants to quash your freedoms, head for the country. That is where you will survive. If we let you in, that is. You might become soylent green.

Lol. People walking around with rifles? Unless they’re hunting, I’ve never seen.

People who grow up in rural areas are taught just by how people make a living basic living - which is conservative in nature.

They don't have the options of people who live in the cities, and many have never experimented with those options.

They also don't have some of the problems either caused by having people live together in high densities.

People who live in cities have a lot more options for employment and life, and have a completely different set of social conditions and issues. Thus, they tend to think of a lot more possible solutions, and are willing to consider and experiment with more liberal policies - because the policies from the rural communities often do not work in a higher density populated area.

Different lifestyles and social structures create different attitudes and potential solutions.

That is fundamentally why the difference you describe exists.
