I go to eat at this diner in my neighborhood about 3 times a week. This foxy waitress there has been on my hit on radar for the past few weeks. She knows I'm digging her but because her job requires her to be nice to all the customers I play it cool and not let her friendliness to me not go to my head. A week ago I made a subtle move and she responded in kind of a cold way towards me. So I back off. A little while ago I stop in for some pasta and sauce and she tells me that I am on her Christmas list, hee,hee,hee. I say, abruptly, that I am going out of town for a few weeks during the holidays, but thanks for the thought. She looks shocked and hurt and turns away from me. What the fuck is wrong with women? Why play so fucking hard to get when a nice, respectful guy like me just wants a simple date. She's single, I'm single. But I got a fuck you Bitch attitude towards her now. She didn't like me NOT being excited over her Christmas list comment. Think it would be normal for me to eat somewhere else?

    Try this:

    - Become a woman

    - Get a job as a waitress

    - Do the job for at least a year.

    - Come back and we'll discuss what you learned.

    The answer to what happened is so obvious it nearly seems you're fucking with us, but it is possible you're so inexperienced/naive/whatever that you don't understand what happened. I'd lay it out for you, but you wouldn't believe me so there's really no point.

    I'll agree with Charlie. She is just greasing your ego for a bigger tip. I had the same thing happen to me with a hair cutter. She said I was handsome, and went kookoo and got all slicked up and went over there and asked her to go next door for ice cream and she as much as told me to get lost. So don't read too much into her flirtation.
