I saw a post on a message board the other day that said:
"I am not racist! I have no problem with Asians or Europeans! It's only the black people that I hate!"
Honestly, I have no clue. I never have been, grew up in a very multicultural part of Canada and never understood how someone could be racist. Racism is ridiculous.
My only guess as to why someone could be racist is that multiple people of a race did something terrible to the person. Even then, that's ridiculous...to me, that's like going "Wah, that's the second time a blond person robbed me. You know what, I hate people with blond hair!". There are thousands upon thousands of people of each race...arseholes exist in every single race, just as kind people do. Get over it.
Everyone's a little racist, some just more than others. it's just the way humans are
Sometimes, it comes from the beliefs of relatives being passed onto the child, now adult.
Media and news.
A person being wronged by one or more members of a specific group.
Etc.
I am not a racist. I hate all races relevant to different issues. Equality FTW
