Why are many girls mean to each other/some girls?

I'm never directly mean to a person, unless they've pissed me off.

I do bitch to my friends about other girls sometimes though. And that's not just a girl thing these days, the amount of bitchy boys I know is beyond a joke:L!

Never because I'm jealous though, usually when I'm jealous I just wallow in self-pity:P

It depends on the girl. You can't make blanket statements about either gender. However, jealousy is usually the reason. I am a girl & have girl friends. We consider ourselves nice, then again, I agree with the statement that all girls have a bitchy side. There are in fact girls i'm jealous of (would like to be as pretty as, d8ing someone i like).

To establish a pecking-order. Even men do this, just in a different way.

People are not going to stop being "mean", so it's best to develop coping skills to deal with them when they are. Don't act like prey.

Most of the time jealousy, and then some of the time when it's someone you know on a more personal level it can be more a mystery as to what 'she' has that I don't have (like when a bf/husband cheats), when it's obvious she's either ugly, overweight, has problems (like drug addiction, financial, etc..), so not so much jealousy but "why"?? In no way would I be jealous of these things, I think it's just a matter of convenience for the guy. Like she's a slut and made herself available but isn't desireable, and even the male involved knows it's a mistake but just a place to get a nut off. Nothing to be jealous about, more a wake -up call to either dump him or look inward as to why he's looking at some undesireable creature for attention.

Jealousy. Insecurity. They're just a naturally nasty person. They want you to feel as bad as they feel. They want don't want you to have the attention. They want to be the alpha female.

It's cause some girls are never taught how to behave.

I think it is because of competition, at least that's what I've observed in high school. It seems that all the girls are competing for the attention of one guy and whoever looks the prettiest is usually hated by the other girls. This hate is done out of jealousy. Personally, I think it's immature and stupid, but that's high school apparently.

I've been wondering this actually. At work the girls are mean for no reason. No reason at all. They stare at me and I could feel them talking about me amongst themselves. What annoys,me most is that they constantly stare:/

you should put some thought into what information you are trying to obtain from a survey,

first of all i have noticed that you put 15 possable answers to your questions if you use mutible surveys where there is either one extreme and another such as (women are conserned about their looks or about their intelligence) and use mutible surveys that overlap like (women are concerned about their intellengce or about their motery status) you can set a higherarchle list of to see a true bar graph of what people think womens problems are
