Why are human beings so awful

I know this may seem like I'm being a pessimist, but as a species, we have done no good. All the accomplishments that we have, are only to further our own agenda, and they're usually at the expense of the other life on the planet. We can't even get along with ourselves, just look at all the war and murder in the world. Sure there our people who try to do things like fix pollution, or the ozone layer, but they are only trying to solve things that we ruined. Theres no reward for cleaning up your own mess. I have yet to see something that changes the way I feel about them. We lie, cheat, steal, kill, torture, and break almost everything around us. Why are we so proud of ourselves for it?

    Most humans I personally know are fine.. It's those with desire for power in all its forms who seem to fuck it up for everyone else.. Politicians, religious leaders, police and thieves.

    It is easier to do what we want rather than what's right. Sadly that means there's a lot of crap out in the world. That being said there are good people out there doing good things. Stop looking for perfection out of an imperfect world and surround yourself with good people.

    If you want to see something change for the better then start with yourself.
