Why are guys always surprised that I can roll a good blunt? My boyfriend thinks it's crazy and amazing and all of his friends agree with him. They say I can roll better than them and it's weird cause I'm a girl. It's easy and I don't get why guys are so surprised by it.

I got the same reaction when I would showcase my crack cooking skills.
The same reason why some guys trip shit when they see me doing maintenance on my own car or when they see that I am OMG GASP, a FEMALE security guard???
Because some things a lot of men just don't expect girls to do. They're not used to it or have never seen it before. I know in my area of the woods, girls rolling blunts was far too common (and seen as kinda sexy, depending on the girl) and so is girls working on cars, so I guess it depends on where you're from and who you've been around.
I think women should stick to rolling out pastry with rolling pins in the kitchen.
What a silly thing to be suprised about it is not like you held down a job, or help the needy or anything.

I have a job, I go to school, and I have my own apartment. I've also been on mission trips to help children in need. So BAM.
Oh my mistake. I assumed a pot smoker would have a sense of humor. I forgot, in 2013 nobody has a sense of humor.

I do not smoke, drink or do drugs. However I think it might be the fact you are a women. It seems like it is something more men do. So if a women knows what she is doing it would surprise them.
The surprised reaction is pretty common, you're not alone. But it makes sense that we can do it well because of our small nimble fingers.
From what I gather, in general guys don't come across many gals who puff often enough to become skilled rollers and they are rather impressed with the notion.
I haven't met one girl that could roll well, and I have a lot of guy friends who can roll well. So, when I smoke with girls or a girl, rolling is usually the man's job. But I don't think women shouldn't roll. As long as they're good at it. You can buy some rolling tobacco to practice. Or you could just roll your herbs on your own and solo smoke if you're trying to learn how to roll well. You could also smoke herbs with someone more gracious than me. If I can roll decently, I don't want to be pitching in/supplying the smoke if it means hitting your crappy first roll just so you can practice. But it would be awesome to date a girl who could roll well. Assuming she's desirable in other ways lol.
I hope I don't sound misogynistic. I'm just being consistent; I wouldn't expect those of my friends who roll very well (or who have a rolling machine) want me to roll anything big.
Of course, when I say herbs I am referring to legal herbs such as Kava-Kava and Skullcap. I do not smoke cannabis nor am I referring to cannabis.
This makes sense. My boyfriend is such a dork lol, the first time I rolled a blunt for him he literally took pictures of it because he was so surprised. I never really thought anything of it until all of his friends also made a big deal of it. But I guess if they've never seen a girl roll well, it does make sense to be surprised!
This is probably personal because of my own experiences and friends but I've always thought women roll better than men. This is based just on the people around me who do. The men's efforts are clumsier.
Also, I'm a man and I can't do it.

Nope, I'm a cannabis smoker. Take that however you may, but I personally don't consider myself to be a drug addict.
We have a lot of those on this site. Are you really surprised? People love destroying their bodies.
I don't consider weed a drug. Eating unhealthy does more damage to the body than smoking cannabis.
As does smoking. Weed is a drug like anything else. I also know the argument for why it is not. They say "It is natural and it is a plant" and so is penicillin. Though made in a lab most of these drugs came from things like plants. Which in the past might have been what they used to make medicine. You can pretend all you want but you are still doing something to your body. Definition: substance taken for its narcotic or stimulant effects, often illegally. People are meant to eat food. People are not designed to live off drugs. Most of the stuff we use in food even in excess is something our bodies need. We need sugar and we need fat. We need water which can be find in most things indirectly even soda. When you take drugs recreationally you are offsetting something your body already has. Which creates addiction.
I never said it doesn't do anything. I just said it's not as harmful as people make it out to be. Of course the smoke has effects on the body because any smoke would. But it doesn't have addictive nicotine like cigarette. It doesn't have tar like cigarettes to coat your lungs with. It doesn't take a toll on your liver like alcohol. You can't exactly overdose on weed. People make marijuana out to be way worse than it actually is. Maybe it is a drug. The argument can go both ways. But in my opinion drugs are associated with a negative connotation, and I don't find marijuana to be bad.
