WHY? Always stupid amerikan tv company cancell all the good show and keep the gay bad shows like greys anatomi and shit still going?!

Well, I know Freaks & Geeks should never have been cancelled, and I was disappointed (although not surprised) when they cancelled The Event. Heroes should've been given one more season to wrap things up too.
However, there's a shit load of great shows on TV right now. Breaking Bad, True Blood, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Homeland to name a few.
Probably because television has to appeal to the least common denominator, and the average viewer doesn't have any sense of taste when it comes to what's actually good. :x

That doesn't really help when a series is canceled by the station though. :/ Can't watch what was never made.
Yeah but you can find many awesome shows that you didn't know about. TV gives you limited option of finding new shows and when they cancel a good one you have to wait until they stream another as good but when you watch them online you can watch them faster and more of them than just those on TV.
I've barely watched TV in the past 3 or 4 years, I have cable now because my family insisted on getting it for me, but I see it as pretty much a waste of time.
Still, I understand being upset when a good series is cancelled. :/ I mostly do watch TV online, I use netflix and watch-series and that's mostly where I get my television from; but I still do feel kind of sad when the franchise decides a good show isn't worth continuing.
Farscape and Firefly are the two I'm most butt-hurt about being cancelled
