    IIN that I vote on polls like this even though I don't have the first clue about American sport. If you told me the Houston 49ers won it last year, I'd probably believe you.

    IIN to hate the sole idea of football culture? to each his own, sure, but it baffles me that our country would hugely commercialize over something so inane and trivial, LET ALONE CALL IT ENTERTAINMENT?

      America has a strong military culture - football is a part of that.

      American government spends a lot of money in high school football - makes for a slightly more organized, disciplined society. Educated people make for a poor infantry.

      Great sport, though.
