Pink Floyd. 1994. Death Valley Stadium, Clemson, SC. I was 8 years old and it was amazing. Thumbs up to the big brothers program.
My parents took me to a Beach Boys concert when I was a kid. And my first unchaperoned concert was The Offspring. I was lucky I didn't get injured and my friend lost a shoe.
The goodold Deep Purple...
they just rock in such an unique and non-metal way... I still love them, and I have changed a lot my music preferences.
Goldfinger. No doubt was supposed to be there too but they didn't show up. That was in a real small shithole of a place. 1996 maybe. The first big show i saw was pearl jam in 98.
A Manchester band, big in the 90's. Around the time of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, and Charlatans, but a completely different sound. Me and a friend from school were massively into "Madchester", although I can't even listen to "Sit Down" any more (you'll have heard that at some point in your life). But "Come Home" is still pretty much how Manchester sounded to me when I was growing up. Either that or "This Is How It Feels" by the Inspiral Carpets. I don't think I was the happiest kid.
Complete Madness nut, though. Madness makes me happy. You're now going to ask me to name three favourite songs, aren't you? :P
I just Youtubed them and I have heard of some of their songs:)
As for Madness, I don't think it's even possible for me to listen to their music without being happy, or dancing like an absolute idiot:D And I wasn't even thinking of asking you that question until you just mentioned it and made me curious, so it's your own fault:P!
Yeah, yeah. :P
My choices are pretty obvious, I think. Would have included "It Must Be Love" but it's not strictly their song. So hmm... "Our House". Right from the vroom vroom at the start, it makes me want to get up and dance to it. "Wings of a Dove" because it's another dancey one that makes me happy. Weird final choice, though. I'm going for "Michael Caine". It makes me laugh. Oh, and is it just me or is Suggs totally doing a Bowie impression on most of that song? :D
Guess what I'm now going to ask you to do. :P
James sing a really popular song called laid, you will have definitely heard it many times.
