I can't stand the vast majority of popular YouTubers. I usually find their personalities extremely fake and grating. Channels like TheAmazingAtheist (who I pick on because he's been mentioned already in this thread) bill themselves as intelligent, but all it really is a one-sided crusade against whatever you don't like:

"Rape isn't fatal. So imagine my indignation when I saw a chatroom called "Rape Survivors." Is this supposed to impress me? Someone fucked you when you didn't want to be fucked and you're amazed that you survived? Unless he used a chainsaw instead of his dick, what's the big deal? ... I really like zefrank1. Ze's on-camera personality is the exact opposite of someone like PewDiePie or RayWilliamJohnson who I really don't like much. Ze is sincere and witty and his humour is always exactly on point, and his personality is not exaggerated and amplified to the point of being un-relatable. He doesn't make his own videos anymore. He works for Buzzfeed, which I think is an absolutely criminal waste of talent because I think Buzzfeed is very bland and generic.

I also really like WheezyWaiter. He makes usually amusing short videos with a lot of really neat camera tricks. I loved his daily vlog channel, WheezyNews, which he's stopped updating regularly. His personality really shone through on that in a good way.

I like pogobat, at least I do at the moment. He's very hit-and-miss but some of his videos have a lot of potential.

I like Vsauce a lot too. Those videos are interesting without fail. Same goes for CGPGrey and ViHart (who is the only YouTuber I've ever had any sort of crush on).
