actually the government calls it the war on drugs, so uh...yeah, and I'd say neither side is "winning" cuz its a matter of balance, should they sell heroin at walmart? obviously not, should they execute someone for smoking weed? obviously not, we need to find a balance, imo that would be what portugal does, decriminalizing all drugs and sending offenders to rehab rather than jail, and their drug use has dropped over thirty percent

the fucking crack dealers re winning because people are to fucking uptight to educate thier children properly enough tfor them to understand that there are drugs (like crack coke and meth) and there are not-drugs (like weed and shrooms) so when you get the little fucktwat kid that starts smoking weed when hes 14 then decides "well I already smoke pot its close to smoking meth so hell yeah pass me that fuckin rock" and he ends up sucking dick for coke

The government is over controlling and over dramatic.

But all the drug users I know are idiots and "higher than thow" types.

Soooo, the people who moderate in their beliefs are winning I guess.

The only way for the goverment to win is make drugs legal. How many wives have been abused by drunk husbands? Millions. How many by pot smoking husbands? Zero. Drugs being illegal has overcrowded the jail system and killed many innocent people.

thats why the government wants to keep them illegal. they are making money off the jail system

        Those cheap bastards.

Vote for Ron Paul, or look him up at least. He's planning on making the federal government smaller when it comes to social matters like drugs, prostitution, marriage, etc etc and getting rid of the federal tax. He believes the states should decide their own laws and that one government cant possibly meet the needs and wants of such a huge demographic of people.

Drugs being illegal is what's caused the people to get rich. Corruption and what not keeps them illegal. in my opinion.

  • Well the government is actually winning but everyone on drugs is to fucked up to realize that they're losing

Not exactly. But I agree that the government regards the drug trade as beneficial, and secretly does not truly want to obliterate them.

Lets see the government pushes drugs. The pharmaceuticals think up new ailments everyday and at the same tell us "Smoking is bad"! So yes that makes sense. The government is ran by drug dealers. The psych doctors are at a lower end but they are still pushing it. FUCK YOU AND YOUR DAMN NARCOTICS! No money in a healthy patient after all. Doctors need to eat and work too.

The drug war is like the 100 years war. No one remembers how it started and why, and no one cares either. It annoys me that thousands of non-violent weed smokers have been imprisoned all because of a silly law that was legislated in order to benefit the cotton and paper industry. Marijuana isn't illegal because it is a 'drug' but because it is an amazing, highly versatile plant that threatened the livelihoods of these industries.

    Drug Cartels.
It would be better to manage the sale of them legally and tax the crap out of it the way that tobacco and alcohol is taxed. It might even break some of these cartels and their stranglehold on some of the border towns in the border states.

I live in Canada, and like the U.S have a screwy system when it comes to drugs. Just look at it this way; if you're diagnosed w/mental illness like adhd you can get amphetamine yet if you're trafficing it you can spend up to 14 years behind bars! I have adhd so having a stimulant medication is great to help keep me focused, however I think drugs should be controlled in a rehab manner/ controlled manner. Rather than the manner the government does now which spends more money on people behind bars rather than help them with their addiction. Now if they had herion clinics in your neighbourhood and you did it safely there as opposed to you injecting the stuff in your foot, then I think that's doing soceity a better favour then it is now.People are doing drugs regardless, let's do it a little bit safer than we do now.And yes some people will overdose, but if we can control it more it's less likely to happen.
