And don't say no one because that's not true. I put up a post recently, a silly fun question which I had stolen from another website and they seemed to know because they removed it almost straight away from here. So who was moderating that?
Posts are not premoderated. Sometimes they are automatically sent to the moderators based on key words or the reputation of the poster. Sometimes they are sent to moderation if a few members report it after it is posted. If yours went up then down, sounds like you are the victim of the latter. Once a post gets sent to moderation it sits there for like 1 -3 days until it is reviewed. If the moderator approves it, it goes back to the top of the list. Most don't get approved, but there is a chance your post could pop back in.
Gold members have access to view the posts that are awaiting moderation. If you tell me what your post was, I would be happy to check the list and see if it is still pending.
How do you know they are not premoderated?? Got inside knowledge? They arent awaiting anything, they were not approved, two may have been reported and the other where I stole the idea was disapproved very quickly after posting.
I know that they aren't premoderated because that fact is clearly posted on the site for one. For two, the very fact that it posts right away tells you it is not premoderated. If it was premoderated, by definition, it would have waited for moderation before posting in the first place. It wouldn't post and be taken down after. As I already told you, as a gold member I do have access to the posts that are awaiting moderation. Right now there are 52 posts on the list, some as much as 2 days old. I am more than happy if you tell me th post title to check if you post is on the list.
Maybe there are moderators who are regulars on this site. *Plays spooky music* ;)
