Who is your favorite villian on buffy the vampire slayer?

and why?? are they scary or funny or kind of kooky (the mayor) spike doesn't count as a villian because he becomes good.

    There's also Spike. I haven't seen much of the series but he did seem like someone who was rather complicated... not to mention his song in the musical episode was interesting too.

    First and foremost, Spike is by far my favorite villain. He is considered a villain from Season 2 until the end of Season 6 when he gets his soul... Long enough... As for the other characters mentioned, they are all pretty awesome in their own way. Personally I like Glory, even though Season 5 is not my favorite.
    Her appearance is deceiving, petite and prissy. However Glory seriously rivals Buffy's strength and throws her for a loop. This adds to a huge theme on Buffy... "things are not always what they seem". Also it challenges our beliefs on what a god is should look like (in the buffyverse). She gives us more insight into different dimensions and adds to the idea that were not alone. Her humor and madness makes her an extremely dimensional character. Not to mention Glory is Ben! Glory is the reason Dawn exists, Glory brings out the Ripper in Giles. Glory is the reason Buffy died! As a watcher, you are kind of disturbed at her lack of humanity, but at the same time, drawn in.

    The Master. He managed to kill Buffy. (Even if she came back to life a few minutes later.) And Spike is the best, (although I like him better as a good guy.)

    I would say Angelus because he tortures his victims mentally and physically and does it just for fun were as the others have a meaning behind their evil.

    The mayor was definately the best big bad, Adam made the most logical sense but the mayor attitude was def best. And as another poster said the gentlemen were most def the best minor bad.

    i like it, fantastic. spike, i know he comes good but he was the best for me. evil willow was scary too. great show

    You left out Adam, Evil Willow, and The First. But I think the Mayor was the best big bad. As for smaller charactors, the Gentleman are among my favorite. Glory was the worst.
