I doubt that there is any doubt that Dubya will go down in history as the worst president in history.
Not only did he personally completely ignore the Clinton administrations warnings about Al-Qaeda, thereby allowing 9/11, but he started a war that caused the slaughter of more than 5000 young Americans, based on lies he and his administration perpetuated, just so that his vice president and his cronies could get richer.

Most people who post here are too young to know much about Jimmy Carter other than the fact that he is involved in Habitat for Humanity.

However, Carter is easily the worst post-WWII president of the U.S. and the only other person who comes close is Barack Obama, who has been terrible, but who is still better than Carter. Carter was a complete failure on both domestic and international fronts. Under Carter, inflation was rampant and unemployment was high - he actually gave an infamous "malaise" speech in which he told people to expect less in the future. Arab terrorism against the U.S. started on Carter's watch as he allowed the Iranians to storm the U.S. embassy and take American hostages - they remained hostages until Reagan was inaugurated and the Iranians were afraid Reagan who use military force the get the hostages back.

Bill Clinton - accused of having sex with Monica Lewinsky, media treats this event as though it's THE event that's demonstrated he's crossed a boundary that makes him irredeemably untrustworthy to the American people, while totally forgetting crippling economic sanctions that he enacted upon Iraq and the Sudanese medicine factory he blew up. Married to a shitty fucking hag who presided over his decisions to impose said sanctions during her tenure as Secretary of State, supported hawkish foreign policy,
voted for Gimpy's "Patriot Act" (as well as its reinstatement) and signed Rick Santorums's "Workplace Religious Freedom Act" which could have given employers rights to discriminate against their employees.

Ronald Reagan - B-movie actor, came in handy in that he was a talking head that probably just read off of teleprompters and hardly had an original idea of his own. Borrowed economic ideas from the 1890's and they were rebranded as being somehow "revolutionary," (Horse and Sparrow economics: give the horse more oats, and there will be more oats in his shit for the birds to eat). Sold weapons to the Ayatollah, supported Mujahideen warriors against the Soviet Union, wanted to build a system of space-age weaponry to police the globe, and thought that sending the USS Stark through the Persian Gulf (where Iraqis and Iranians were indiscriminately blowing up vessels at the time, during what was known as "the Tanker War") was a good idea (spoiler alert: the Stark was blown up). The best thing about him is that whenever wingnuts whine about Obama being a secret Muslim because of how "soft" he is on them, you can always reference the sort of relations that St. Ronnie had with them and watch your wingnut listener's head spin while they shout barely coherent justifications for his bullshit.

We can debate who was the worst out of that grouping but looking at all 44 presidents this country has elected I'm going to go with someone like James Buchanan or Andrew Johnson.

I think that President Harrison accomplished less than any president in history.

I didn't vote for Bill Clinton and wouldn't trust him any farther than I could throw him, but he was actually a pretty good President. His wife Hillary would be a frickin' disaster.

Reagan will go down as one of the best Presidents in modern history.

Carter was brilliant, honest and ethical, but his cabinet was inept and the result was bad.

Obama is a complete embarrassment, unless of course you're rooting for his fellow Islams to take over the World.
