Who is the best person you know in real life (not iin)?

Which person (who you have met) do you think is the best. You can take your own meaning of "best" whether it be most inspirational, most generous, most influential, or even most evil (if that's the kind of thing you think is best). Give us your definition of "best" if it's non-standard.

A very good friend, we got a lot in common and we can talk about everything. We're always there for each other.

    My husband.

It was the first thing I noticed when I was with him, just how... good he was. You know when people describe what a "real Christian" should act like, it almost sounds like they are describing him.

He's far from perfect, if you're an asshole to him for a while he will eventually develop a low opinion of you, but he's just a good guy. I didn't believe that people COULD be like him until I met him. He's the kind of guy that will go give a homeless person a ride to Wal Mart and buy them a pair of shoes or lend his family money if he has it. He's not materialistic, he's honest, he's got character. He's that old fashioned man that women say that they want but always turn down for being too skinny or not dressing stylish enough.

Now if only I could get him to pick up after himself, I'd say he's a God among men!

If my grandmother was alive, it would be her. She is next to Jesus in my mind. She was extremely intelligent, she was the hardest worker I have ever met in my life... even knowing her faults, she is still perfect to me. I adored her when I was a kid, I loved being around her and today, I am still so grateful that I was able to spend so much time with her before she died.

She went from living in a shack in the middle of the woods, being abused and mistreated to having a college education and living in a nice home that she always made sure had room for us. She never lived anywhere that did not have 2 spare bedrooms, one for me and one for my parents. She always thought about us and if there is an afterlife and a heaven that she is in, she's probably still thinking about us. I honestly believe that the human race lost of an outstanding specimen of intelligence, perseverance and overall greatness when she died.

I've said this here before and I will say it again. If I grow up to be half the woman that she was, I will have achieved something grand in my life.

I hate people, so this question does not apply.

Probably my grandparents. My Nana and Grandad (from my mam's side) are both the epitome of what I like in a person. They're funny, down to earth, generous, honest, common (that might sound insulting, but it's definitely not to me), and just the best people in the world to me! Also, it doesn't sound like much, but I just love how my Grandad says "well hello" when he enters a room.:D You'd obviously have to hear it to understand why I like it, but it just makes me smile. He's got the best Geordie accent I've ever heard!:D

Ooh, and the pigeons! My Grandad has pigeons, and I've always loved them since I was a kid. I have quite a lot in common with them actually. They both love animals. My Grandad has a big interest in music and history, and my nana loves cooking. Both go travelling all the time as well. And they're just really happy. They're just brilliant, and really, really common:D. I love that!

Aside from them, my friends are pretty fantastic too. 3 in particular, who I consider my best friends anyway. Someone else, but I don't talk to him anymore, but he's the best friend I've ever had and he just made my childhood! I have some great people in my life and always have done. I'm so lucky for that!
