Who in right mind is sleeping around right now?

We've got this huge outbreak going on right now with the Corona virus. Many people dying from it. We got stay at home orders all over the world, we've got a very contagious and serious disease spreading like wildfire. And then I'm hearing people talk about wanting to sleep around. I was at the grocery store wearing my mask hoping I can make it home without catching the virus, and I am overhearing these young women in the next line talking about wanting to go pick up some random guys and bring them home. There are a couple of recent posts on this site talking about wanting to go out and around having sex with different people they just met or don't know that well. Is it me, or is it like seriously stupid to be wanting to go sleeping around right now with this huge Corona outbreak going on?

People who sleep around are not worried about AIDS, gonorrhea, herpes, or other things. Why would they care if they caught covid?

Not had sex now for over 3 weeks. Yes I'm missing it but just cant take the risks anymore, better to he safe from this horrible virus and stay at home. Always lots of time once it has all cleared up to go out and enjoy oneself, in fact it will probably feel so much better after such a long period without getting my pussy pounded.

  Either this is bait or you haven't been following the news. About 40% of people hospitalized are well below the supposed vulnerable age range and have no underlying conditions. Part of this probably involves the fact that elderly and other vulnerable by now are either dead or serious about sheltering in place, but the fact stands.
  
  And even if you weren't at risk, getting the hospitals overloaded will mean you and anyone you care about possibly dying for stupid and avoidable reasons because the ER is full or too many hospital staff sick and dead. Never mind waiting hours for an ambulance.
  
  Lastly if you were not so self-absorbed you would probably learn that many people you know and even care about are in danger here because of conditions they keep private. Personally I have several friends who are dangerously ill but keep the fact a secret for fear of being judged or just out of shame. It is almost certain you care about someone who suffers from lupus, AIDS, heart disease, or some respiratory condition. Do the math and use your head. Why live in a community at all if you don't care about the people it?

    From what I've read, it's not just the conditions you mention that seem to make people more vulnerable to this virus. Diabetes and being overweight also seem to increase the risk of serious symptoms and death, and both of those conditions are very common in the USA.
    
    People who want to minimise this keep bleating on about how the virus is only a danger to Boomers. It is true that older people make up the bulk of the fatalities, but before the fatality numbers really shot up in the UK and everyone apart from the famous became just another number, there were a couple of deaths of kids aged eleven and thirteen reported. Neither of them had any underlying health issues. They got sick but seemed to be doing reasonably well until they suddenly got much worse, were admitted to hospital and then died in Intensive Care a few days later.
    
    It's a lottery, and it's all very well citing statistics, but it's not irrational to be very concerned if a young person you care about comes down with the virus. Young people are getting very ill with COVID-19, and it's likely that even some of those who recover at home with nothing more than the help of over the counter pain relief will end up with permanent lung damage. Chinese researchers have found reduced lung capacity in those who have had the virus, and while it's too early to be sure, there is a possibility that this could be pulmonary fibrosis - scarring of the lung tissue that's permanent, can't be cured and can spread.

      I'm just grateful every morning I wake up without a fever and without gasping for breath and having breathing trouble/chest congestion. And I'm not leaving my home again until the numbers of Corona cases start going down

    My mom has lost most her teeth and now her hair is no longer growing. Her dogs recently died as well. So yea I dont give a shit some people being Ill. Cant say I give 2 shits. Its removed overtins from my job since demand Is down. My best friend works at a hospital having to make her own ppe with garbage bags and the like cause so many are going in for nothing. Yes some need to be hospitalized but many are wasting everyone's time and resources so pardon be for being a little annoyed with the entire thing

  If it's that harmless, why is everyone everywhere making such a huge deal about it? Have you seen how high the numbers are on those who have it? Those who've died from it? Those who've recovered? The latter is by far the smallest number. You don't just get sniffles, almost everyone who gets it gets a high fever and numerous other symptoms. And if the virus is not that big a deal, why does almost every city in the US have complete shut-down? They're being sheep also I guess.

    Because it is lethal to some while being highly contagious. The survival rate is like 98.2 or some shit. Most that are dying are already on deaths door. Its because some are dying whole it's highly contagious is why theres. Shutdown combined with widespread panic cause people are idiots. It's like peanut allergy. Peanuts are banned in certain locations cause someone with an allergy may be present. It's the needs of the few over the needs of the many in these situations

      A news reporter asked our pm "why are we destroying the economy, jobs and lives just for a small few" he replied saying "because every Australian life matters". Obviously not, especially if you risk everyone's life for ones who have already lived a wealthy life.
      
      Truth is those in politics are high risk, old, fat, many medical conditions. Truth is they are the ones that cant let go, they are the ones screwing us all because they are too weak to die like a man.
      
      We just had a politician guy in nsw get a fine for going to his holiday home with guests, all while telling others not to. These POS tell us not to do anything because they don't want this shit spreading to them, then they go out and have fun while we are all locked up in our houses like prisoners.

Most recent studies show the mortality rate is about 0.3%. Flu is around 0.1%. This thing has been massively overblown. Don't buy into the panic. Every three winters you survive the flu is essentially akin to this thing.

  No, they were talking about doing it, not wanting to do it. And I've seen people flirting with strangers throwing themselves at them as if this virus ain't even happening. Some of them seem to not care about how they might get sick tomorrow as long as they get laid today.
