It's 4 am and I just got woken up by a text message that said "Decatur! Hippie you are good!" What the fuck, autocorrect? Sometimes you make me look like an idiot; sometimes you make me look vastly smarter than I am. Does autocorrect do more harm than good? How do you feel?

I don't like technology doing things for me which are easier for me to just do myself, like going back and correcting my own mistakes. It's counter-intuitive.
I always deactivate it but I do use spell check which lets me know if a word isn't spelled correctly because I am actually an awful speller.
You do know that you can turn off autocorrect on your iOS device?
1. Tap on the Settings app.
2. Tap on General.
3. Scroll down and tap on Keyboard.
4. Look for Auto-Correction, take it off. (White = Off) (Green = On)
I don't see why so many complain about this instead of just removing it.
It's funny when it happens to other people, but I have it turned off on my own phone. I used to enjoy damnyouautocorrect.com quite a bit but they web 2.0ized the site and it kind of sucks now.
It's pretty annoying. It seems to enjoy auto correcting my last name to a completely different word.
Lol. Actually, it recognizes the word cuntsiclestick due to me typing it in so many times. I actually can't remember what it used to auto correct it to.
Irony of all ironies- I just posted this story and now I'm trying to explain to the bf why I sent him a sext saying I wanted to strike his cock instead of stroke it...duck you, autocorrect.

It's a love hate relationship but I'd rather have it because everyone has autocorrect just about so if you put something stupid people usually are like "oh must be auto correct because that doesn't...it just doesn't..." :)
