What do you think is the worst LONG-RUNNING ad campaign is? Not just a one-time-only bad commercial!! A whole long running ad style/campaign.

    I think Geico ads are great....yes, they are dumb jokes but they have been very successful at making Geico a household name, and the third largest insurance company.

    All of the above, plus the JG Wentworth ones and the other companies like JG, like Novation. The cash for gold ones. All such scams.

    The PC store in your house advert is shown in the UK now, and they haven't dubbed the accents as English ones, which is an interesting new development.

    The worst adverts on TV here though are the Go Compare ones with a mustachioed opera singer who bleats the same small verse repeatedly in a variety of "zany" situations. It's deliberately annoying, and it works. It was the first thing that came to my mind and I didn't have to think about the brand name. It just popped right in there.

            Now you mention it, it rings a bell. I deliberately tune out adverts (apart from the extended John Lewis one with "She's Always a Woman" as a soundtrack. That's as good as advertising ever gets). But I think I do remember the English girl, yes. Kind of worrying that, as a nation, we'd trust foreign interests more than our own.

    This ad is probably the stupidest ad ive ever seen. "You dont have to lose all the things you love, just swap more for less" Thats not swapping, thats losing something! "Swap inside for outside" You lose your TV and comfy couch! They didnt think this though very well.

    I don't like the Microsoft ads. I just don't buy what they are trying to sell. They are trying to show how cool and awesome Microsoft computers are and they just fall short.
