Who drives nicer cars?

My job requires me to drive in traffic every day. It seems like I always see more women driving nicer/newer vehicles than men.

What is your take?

Males 9
Females 10

Lol, a lot of them around here in Cadilacs and Lincolns, i shit you not.

Also, i see a lot of people (of all races) with really nice cars and pickups (especially Cummins powered Rams and chevy Silverados), that are way nicer than the house or Trailer they live in.

Yeah, I see a lot of them driving Cadillacs, BMW, etc. These are cars for people of a high income.

My bad, g (not sure what that means but people say it and it seems to flow here), I didn't know my opinion meant so much to you. I honestly don't notice which gender drives nicer cars. It seems pretty equal round here.

Depends on your area. Where I am from, there are more manual laborers so you'll see more men driving work trucks and old shitty whogivesafuck itsgonnagettoreupanyway cars while women (as naturally more men than women are manual laborers) drive nicer cars because they don't need to haul equipment right?

Here in Cali though, most men work more white collar jobs so they drive nicer cars here all around and there are as many broke/working class women as there are men so there ya go.

My car is a little older than average and it's not a bad car but it's decent. I still have more work to do on it before I'd call it nice.

My opinion of a nice car is very different from most peoples. I see fewer and fewer people driving awesome automobiles but it's mostly men in the vehicles that I notice.

And in my opinion, if you don't own your car, it's not your car and that's just stupid to me. Ain't no way I'd ever "rent" a car for several years just to trade it in and rent another one.

No kidding, a nice car is so subjective. A nice car to me is practical and one you can count on to be there in 20+ years. Sadly they are not designed that way anymore so very few nice cars exist.

Now I really miss my bike.

Some of those cars may have been crap but the average mechanic could work on it without investing in software equipment that was the same price as the car itself. And why the fuck do you have to dismantle the engine to replace the 3 air filter.

Even the smart car doesn't come with a spare tire.

And, did it ever occur to you that there are more models to choose from today today than 30+ years ago. Cars are still designed to be replaced after a few years and that is really wasteful.

like some other logical feller said here before they gots deleted yall can git a code reader for 50 bucks and some auto parts storesll scan em for yall for free

if yall gots half a brain bout it the cars gonna tell yall whats wrong and i wouldnt deal with any mechanic what dont know howta deal with that

            it really aint that hard

its yalls job as the crafty consumer to NOT buy a car what needs the 'engine disassembled to change the air filter' (exaggerate much? )

some like ford gots open source oftware and others like bmw keeps it a big ole secret and again its yalls job to know that

ill tellya what id rather be in an accident in a modren jetta than a big ole 70s barge anyday

id rather have the power mileage and drivability of a fuel injected and computerized car than a carb and distributor and fuckin round with a choke in the cold weather

Can you try a little harder to put together a coherent sentence? I don't usually complain about grammar but i have no idea what you are saying other than some grunting and carspeak.

Cars are still a money pit whichever way you wrap them up. And I don't care if some have open source software.

I don't like cars for many reasons. And your behavior only adds to the annoyance.

I agree. I'd much rather save up my money and pay the purchase price all at once then, rent it/take out a loan. I don't like the idea of having to depend on a bank and if I miss payments, that "my" car will be gone. But, that's just me. Many people don't have that option. But for many people, keeping up appearances is important. So, saying the the car is yours looks better on paper than having to tell people that it technically isn't yours, etc.

Boat payments. My dad used to own a boat but, it ended up being sold due to the expensive payments.

I don't usually notice the driver. I have noticed that women seem to get smaller cars than men. The majority of the SVU drivers, that I remember seeing, have been men. Usually, these men are tall and heavy set. I remember more women driving the smaller cars, usually European or Japanese cars.

Probably around $35 to 60k, maybe more, depending on condition and the engine. (The 389 and 421 tri-power) Gtos especially go for big money)

my neighbour sold his 1970 Plymouth cuda convertible for $55,000, and it was an unrestored driver with the small block v8 (340) and 4-Speed manual
