Who do you think should recieve the death penalty?

All felons? Seriously? you got too many parking tickets! Now your gonna die! now thats just dumb.

I have a differant opinion on the matter. I think some people truely deserve to be put to death. People with no souls, have no regrets of the crime, and who would do it all over again. Because if they are let out, they WILL do it again. Prisons are explensive. The avarage cost of an inmate per year is $27,134. Do you know how many schools, hospitals, ect. really need that money? Those nasty perverted MONSTERS don't deserve our tax money that we work hard for. I'm not saying all felons, just multiple repeaters. And ONLY violent crimes. I would feel bad if some guy who just needed some money to support his family was killed. But Serial Rapists and murderers, (and anything involving children) Should get no sympathy. That is my views T_T

Do you people even know what is considered kidnapping under the law?? You'd be surprised. Most people charged with kidnapping either 1. kept posession of their OWN child outside of the custody arrangement or 2. didn't involve a child AT ALL, most likely it involves adults (robberies, typically). Kidnapping doesn't necessarily mean you take someone far away in a vehicle against their will either, many times it is an add-on crime attached to a more serious crime.

People charged with kidnapping their own kids many times are more victims of a vindictive ex rather than a real criminal (being a few minutes late to drop off the kid??or sometimes the custodial parent is a monster abuser and the other parent sees taking the kids as their only option-it happens A LOT)

Rapists and child molesters go hand in hand, though some people are wrongly accused of molesting children. All rapists found 100% guilty should be executed in my opinion.

unless you have commited genocide, no one has the wright to take a life. the state dose not act on revenge that's what the individual does, the state is far more pouerfull than one individual and does not need to kill for it's protection.

to me it's sort of hypocritical to say your punishment for killing someone if we kill you. We are trying to show people violence isn't the way yet we are punishing with violence. For example say as a kid if you hit your brother/sister and your parents tell you it's not good to hit and your punishment is they get to hit you. Isn't that just promoting that it's okay to use violence when need be.
Oh and I also feel death penalty is the easy way out. I think life in prison with no chance of parol is a worse punishment. To me I'd rather get the death penalty than life in prison. The death penalty is an easy way out. And it promotes violence fixes violence which it's obvious it doesn't.

This kind of thing sickens me about the human race more than anything - but then I have to remind myself that we're "only human" and execution is part of what we are, at this stage.

Who gave me the moral authority to make this decision? Or you? Are we interested in revenge or retribution? Do we wish to make our society safer, or do we just wish to make someone else suffer? Or is it just Schadenfreude in extremis?

Why should we entrust government to be our instrument? We say we don't trust government in other matters, that they lie to us, and it is often shown true--yet this should be an exception?

And what about the biggest question: what is the difference between execution and the death penalty?

Im with The Gipper (Ronald Reagan) on this one. Only the most heinous of criminals who are proven guilty "Beyond a shadow of a doubt" should be executed., you know, like the serial killers, or the most heinous of the first-degree murderers.
