    If Steve Jobs had lived longer, he would be. And while Elon Musk is famous, he's no where near the level of Bill Gates.

    Wow, I wasn't expecting the results to be so definite. I'd say it'd depend on who you asked. Elon Musk is big right now so I'd say the younger generation will recognise him as being the most famous. Even after they learn of the achievements of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs in the history of computers, the name Elon Musk will be more embedded in their minds. And of course Elon Musk may prove to be even more influential than them in the future, recognised as the father of commercial space travel.

    Also a lot of the older non-tech people may recognise Steve Jobs as the inventor of the iPhone, where as they might not even really know what Bill Gates did. They'd just think he made computers or something.
